Located at 35219 Newark Blvd, Newark, CA 94560, this market is part of the well-known 99 Ranch shopping experience, but the Newark location has its own neighborhood rhythm: practical, busy, and focused on getting customers what they need without feeling overwhelming. With a 4.2 rating from 831 reviews, it is a regular destination for Bay Area families, home cooks, busy households, and anyone stocking an Asian kitchen.

Inside, shoppers can expect a full Asian grocery lineup, including fresh vegetables, fruits, seafood, meats, noodles, sauces, snacks, frozen foods, and daily living supplies. Customer feedback often points to the seafood counter as a standout reason to visit, especially for fish that can be prepared according to personal preferences. For cooks planning Chinese dishes or broader Asian meals at home, the shelves offer the kinds of ingredients that are harder to find in standard supermarkets, from traditional pantry items to quick meal options like noodles. This makes it useful when a recipe calls for several specialty items and one stop saves time.

Although some shoppers note that this branch can feel a bit smaller than other 99 Ranch Market locations, many still find the selection strong and the store clean and easy to navigate. The parking lot is also described as less hectic than some Bay Area shopping centers, which makes quick grocery runs more manageable. The atmosphere is straightforward and practical: customers come here to compare produce, choose seafood, pick up fruit, restock sauces and noodles, or grab household basics before heading home.

Like any busy fresh-food market, it is wise to check produce, meat, and seasonal items carefully before purchasing. A few reviews mention occasional freshness issues with items such as ribs, lychees, or yams, so shoppers who are particular about quality may want to inspect items closely and ask staff when needed. That said, many regulars continue to shop here because the market offers variety, useful service at the seafood counter, and a reliable source for Asian groceries in the Newark area.

Open daily from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM, 99 Ranch Market in Newark, California works well for weekly grocery trips, last-minute dinner ingredients, weekend family shopping, and anyone looking for an Asian grocery store with fresh seafood, produce, and pantry essentials. The long daily hours also help shoppers fit errands around work, school, or family schedules. For local searchers near Newark Boulevard, Fremont, or the wider East Bay, it is a practical stop for traditional ingredients, everyday groceries, and the comfort of finding familiar foods close to home.

This location is a bit smaller compared to others in the franchise, but it still offers a great selection of quality products. Even though the space isn’t as big, you can still find plenty of good options to choose from.

Full product line grocery Asian store, a lot fresh seafood product, fresh veggies and fruits. Some daily living house supplies provided as well. I come here to buy fresh fruits and some fast food noodles. I bought what needs to me. Worthy to recommend the people who plans to buy some Asian foods in this community.

I often go shopping at this place. But every few times, I end up having a bad experience. Sometimes the ribs are smelly, the lychees are not fresh, and this time all the yams I got were old and hard, completely inedible... Everyone must be careful.

I usually come here just to buy seafood. The fish is good quality, and they actually listen to your preferences and cut it the way you want—unlike the other Fremont branch.

I do grocery shopping in the San Francisco Bay Area all the time because the supermarket there has more traditional Chinese items. The 99 Ranch Market in Newark is one of the markets I shopped. The 99 Ranch Market in Newark is big and clean inside. The parking lot is not too busy. The workers there are very helpful. They always give me directions for the items I can find it myself.
