AAA Auto Tech is listed on FindALoco in Boston, MA with address, phone, hours, and map location. Common services and related keywords include Auto Repair Shop.

AAA Auto Tech is an auto repair shop at 1271 Dorchester Ave, Boston, MA 02122, serving drivers in Boston and the surrounding area. Customers have mentioned visiting for vehicle inspections, battery-related problems, check engine lights, and other repair needs. If you are looking for an auto repair shop in Boston, AAA Auto Tech is one local option to consider for discussing a concern with your vehicle and finding out what service may be needed.

The shop is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; it is closed on Sunday. These hours can help drivers plan a weekday visit or arrange a Saturday appointment. Customer feedback describes both positive experiences with respectful, caring service and concerns about inspection results, recommended work, and charges. The overall rating is 3.5 stars from 371 reviews, so experiences appear mixed rather than uniformly positive. Reviews are individual accounts, but they can help set expectations before a visit.

Some customers say the team treated them with honesty and genuine care, while others describe feeling surprised by the price of proposed repairs or by the number of diagnostic tests recommended. One review discusses an inspection involving a headlight and license-plate light, and another mentions a battery that kept dying alongside a check engine light. These accounts offer practical context, but they do not establish what every customer will experience or what a particular vehicle needs. Ask for a clear explanation of the findings, the work being recommended, and the expected cost before authorizing repairs.

AAA Auto Tech may be worth considering if you need to discuss an inspection, a starting or battery concern, a warning light, or a repair in Boston. For a smoother visit, describe the symptoms you have noticed, ask whether diagnostic testing or additional work is proposed, and request an itemized estimate before making a decision. If a recommendation or inspection result is unclear, consider asking follow-up questions or seeking another opinion. Located on Dorchester Ave, this Boston auto repair shop offers weekday and Saturday hours, with customer reviews that provide both praise and cautions to weigh when choosing a service provider.

Just recently went there for vehicle inspection. I really appreciate their care on my car BUT..it was too much and double-triple charges compared to another car services. My car’s headlight and light for license plate were off and they failed them and put “R” sticker on my car. They said they can fix it but $149 service fee. But they said they could discount that fee for me. But ended up charge $879.99 with my debit card and said it was a discount price if i paid with debit card instead of credit card. The receipt is even not listed detail the price for each parts replacement. They also wanted to change the brake and axel of the front tires with $4,999 and said my car’s condition would be worse if don’t change it right now. HIGHLY RECOMMEND PLEASE FIND ANOTHER PLACE FOR INSPECTION OR CAR SERVICE 🙂

If you're a woman they will try to scam you. 4 spark plugs and coils was quoted at $2100. My partner not knowing better was trying to figure out a solution with them when they told her to apply for financing through them to pay for it. Then when I got there their tune changed and suddenly we only really needed one spark plug replaced. Absolutely insane. Our regular guy in Southie looked at our car, told us we only needed one coil and one spark plug, and not the valve cover or 3 other coils and plugs AAA said we needed. We paid $200 to our regular mechanic and the car is running brand new. Really shady to do that and dishonest of them. Their greed got them nothing. (Well, actually it got them $150 for literally just telling us what the issue is, which is also a steep price.)
