About

Absolute Primary Care is listed on FindALoco in Las Vegas, NV with address, phone, website, hours, and map location. Common services and related keywords include Medical Center.

Absolute Primary Care is a medical center at 4218 W Charleston Blvd in Las Vegas, NV. For people looking for a local place to arrange a medical appointment, its Charleston Boulevard location offers a clear starting point for exploring care close to home. The available information does not list specific specialties or a full menu of services, so patients should contact the office directly to ask whether it can meet their particular needs. That is especially important when looking for a specific type of evaluation or discussing insurance coverage.

The office is open Tuesday through Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. It is closed on Monday and Sunday. These hours may be useful for people who need a weekday appointment outside Monday or want to look into a Saturday visit. Because schedules and coverage can change, checking the current details before making plans is a sensible step.

Customer feedback describes a range of experiences. Some reviewers speak warmly about providers and staff, including one patient who appreciated a provider’s attentive manner and another who said making an appointment was simple and they were seen within the same week. Other reviews raise concerns about communication, the thoroughness of an evaluation, and changes in insurance acceptance. These accounts reflect individual experiences rather than a guarantee of what every visit will be like. The listed rating is 4.1 out of 5 from 134 reviews, offering additional context for people comparing local medical centers.

For a first visit, it can help to prepare questions about the reason for the appointment, what kind of evaluation may be appropriate, and what options are available. Anyone seeking help with a particular concern, including weight management, can ask in advance whether that topic is addressed at the office and what to expect from a consultation. Patients may also want to verify that their insurance is currently accepted and confirm appointment availability. Clear questions can make it easier to understand whether the office is a suitable fit.

With its Las Vegas address and Tuesday-to-Saturday schedule, Absolute Primary Care may be worth considering for people looking for a medical center in the area and who value the option of a Saturday appointment. Reviews point to both positive interactions and areas where patients have wanted clearer communication or a more thorough discussion. Prospective patients can use those perspectives as a starting point, then confirm current hours, insurance details, and the services relevant to their needs directly with the practice before visiting.

My mother and I were both patients of Dr. Annie Matthews from Oct 2019 to Oct 2025 at the W Charleston location. Dr. Annie was a very lovely person, and we genuinely enjoyed speaking to her during each appointment. However, all of this ended when the staff failed to notify my mother and I at least through email, mail or even voicemail that Dr. Annie Matthews had retired or had moved to another location during last Oct. I consider that the most ethical and professional way was notifying the patients that Annie had been seeing that she was no longer going to be there at the Charleston location. Even Dr. Rowen Garcia admitted that she had several patients getting angry at Dr. Garcia due to this this unexpected change. Without counting the staff would send referrals to places that often times weren't accepting patients/were out of network with my insurance considering it had been told prior to them sending referrals. Often times they left me waiting 30 mins or more to fax a referral to SDMI for a lab ultrasound exam because they would fail to send the information to SDMI in advance. The only reason my mother and I stayed so many years was because we liked being seen by Dr. Annie. Their office has a lot to improve. Thank you Dr. Annie Matthews for everything we appreciate it.

I left this appointment extremely disappointed and concerned by the lack of a thorough evaluation and discussion of my options. I specifically went in because I wanted medical help with weight management and wanted to understand what options might be appropriate for me. Instead of feeling like my individual situation was evaluated, I felt dismissed almost immediately. I was willing to discuss my diet, lifestyle, weight history, insurance coverage, medications, testing, and whatever else was necessary, but I was not asked the questions I expected from a provider evaluating someone for weight management. When I explained what I had been eating—for example, approximately 2 cups of zucchini in the morning, around 1½ cups of green beans, and more zucchini with dinner—the doctor shook her head and told me it was too much and “too starchy.” There was very little effort to actually dig into my overall diet or ask follow-up questions before making that judgment. What concerned me even more was how unwilling she seemed to go over weight-management options with me. I did not expect a doctor to simply prescribe whatever I asked for. I expected an actual medical discussion: What options exist? What might I qualify for? What are the risks and benefits? What labs or other testing should be done? If one medication isn’t appropriate or covered, what are the alternatives? I did not feel I received that kind of evaluation or conversation. I also asked about a previous medication order from February. While I was being walked out, I heard the doctor asking the office staff what had happened with that order, and nobody seemed to know. I specifically asked what happened so I could prevent the same issue from happening again, but I was told the date was locked in the system or they could not see the reason. Afterward, I contacted/checked with my insurance and confirmed that a prior authorization had never been submitted. I ended up having to pursue additional information myself, including looking into labs, a sleep study, insurance requirements, and whether another doctor could submit a prior authorization. That is particularly frustrating because those are exactly the kinds of things I was hoping to receive guidance about during the appointment. I understand that a physician may decide a particular medication or treatment is not appropriate. That is not why I am leaving this review. My concern is that I did not feel properly evaluated, educated about my options, or given the opportunity to have a meaningful conversation about my health before being dismissed. Patients seeking help with obesity and weight management deserve to have their concerns taken seriously and to understand the medical reasoning behind their treatment options. I left feeling like I had to do much of that work myself. I would strongly encourage anyone considering this office for weight-management care to advocate for themselves, ask detailed questions, and independently verify with their insurance that any required prior authorizations have actually been submitted.

This place is small and parking is crowded, but the staff is great. Making an appointment was very simple, they were able to see me the same week. I was seen by Nicole, who was the best PA I've seen in Vegas. She actually looks at you! I …

My experience today was truly disappointing. I’ve been coming to this office since I was a child with my grandmother, so it holds a lot of sentimental value to me. Finding out that Annie Matthew has retired already broke my heart. While Dr. Rowena was wonderful, her MA, Briana, left me feeling hurt and unwelcome. She barely spoke to my husband or me, and the lack of warmth or professionalism was shocking. When I addressed her behavior, she quickly tried to change her tone but by then, the damage was done. In my 29 years of coming here, I’ve never experienced anything like this. I honestly wasn’t going to write this, but the lack of care, attention, and respect I felt today truly hurt me.

I finally find a doctor i like really well after years going there and they stopped taking my insurance all of a sudden. Still have to give 5 stars because everything was good until this happened.
