Reviews also suggest that pricing and value are part of why some people choose this business, particularly when balancing repair cost with the need to restore reliable cold air. That kind of focused service can be especially useful for commuters, families, and road-trippers who depend on a comfortable cabin every day.

Like many established local auto service businesses, the overall review picture is mixed, which can encourage customers to ask clear questions about diagnosis, repair scope, timing, and vehicle handling before service begins. Taking a moment to confirm the issue, expected turnaround, and estimated cost may help set expectations and ensure the visit is a good fit for your needs. With a 4-star rating from 78 reviews, AC Exchange Auto Air Conditioning remains part of the local conversation for auto A/C service in Garden Grove, California.

My evaporator core had a leak and I was struggling to find somewhere that the price was reasonable and a place that I trusted. I wanted to get my AC fixed before summer hit! I went to 3 places and this is the place I chose. Thanks to José I felt comfortable to bring my car there. The price was VERY reasonable and they did a great job. It is a very labor intensive job and they got it done way faster than I expected which was great. I felt like José was very honest with the diagnosis and price and that’s hard to find sometimes being a women walking into these places sometimes. 10/10 would come back if I had anymore AC issues and would recommend to anyone. Thanks again!

Be aware of scamming and dishonest people. I strongly advise people to avoid this shop. My mother brought her BMW in because the A/C wasn’t blowing cold air. The shop asked her to leave the car there for two days and charged her $700 to repair it. After picking up the car, not only was the A/C still not fixed, it had actually gotten worse — the A/C wouldn’t even turn on at all anymore. About a month later, the battery died, so she brought the car to the BMW dealership. That’s when things became even more concerning. The dealership found that someone had replaced the original BMW battery with a third-party battery. They also discovered the reason the A/C wouldn’t turn on: the car had been put into transport mode, which disables certain functions. The dealership simply deactivated the setting, and the A/C started working normally again. So after charging $700 and keeping the car for two days, this shop not only failed to fix the issue but left the car in a worse state. On top of that, the battery had been swapped for a non-OEM one. This experience feels extremely dishonest and like they took advantage of someone who trusted them. Be very careful before bringing your car here.

High quality and services. The remanufactured compressor I bought works perfectly and saved me a lot of money. The team is professional and helpful. I’ll definitely be back to get another one for my second car soon

They left some scratches after checking my car's AC. I know who did that but i just found out today, if i found out yesterday right after that happened. Why i said i know who? Because the shop owner_ Quang_ did not want me to stand near my car ( 25 feet away) and i refused to let them fix it, i then got charged $75 for 5 minutes looking. My car always shiny and has no scratches ever, even a tiny ones. He or the mechanic did it on purpose cowardly. Never again!
