Griffin was recommended by a friend of mine and I could not be happier with his service. What a gift to find a mechanic that is dependable and trustworthy. He did an excellent job on my repair and also let me know what to keep an eye on down the road as I have an older car. He was very easy to communicate with and enjoyable to work with. From now on I will call Griffin when I need anything done on my car!

Highly recommend! I had a great experience working with Acme Autoworks/Griff. I had a very unique situation where a card got lost in the middle console and the I didn't know where to turn. Griff came to the rescue! Quick response, great communication, efficient and very fair pricing. And so convenient! Will be recommending to all of my friends for any future auto needs.

I hired Griff and his team to do a pre-purchase inspection of a vehicle I was looking at buying. I live out of town so they were able to inspect it before I drove to Austin to buy it. His technician coordinated with the seller, went to the vehicle’s site, was on time, and very thorough. He made sure to inspect specific things we had concerns about and took lots of pictures and gave us a very detailed inspection report within a couple hours. Then, Griff spent time going over the report with me and explaining everything they found and answering all my questions about the vehicle, even above the inspection questions. He went above and beyond to help me ensure it was a good purchase and I felt so much better after having his team do their inspection. I got great value for the $150 inspection; it was well worth the peace of mind before making such an expensive vehicle purchase. Highly highly recommend! They are honest, helpful, and patient!

If there was an award for Best Mechanic in Austin, Griff would win every year! I cannot say enough about Griff. He is an absolute lifesaver and legend of a guy. I bought an 1985 LS swapped Chevy square body from west Texas. The truck was plagued with problems from the start and 3 reputable shops in Austin didn’t just overcharged and under-delivered, some of them did shoddy dangerous work, installing new parts poorly and sloppily. Griff did a house call to inspect it, took the wheel down to the spindle and re-installed the seals and wheel bearings to make it safe to drive. This was before the rest of the work needed to be done. He worked with the me to order the correct parts at honest prices and labor. I feel like I should hide Griff because he’s that’s good, but I told him I would write this review so he continues to work on my truck…. 😆 Attached is a picture of Griff working late into the night on a Friday night.

Griff was awesome! My check engine light was on, my car was in limp mode, and it was overheating. He took his time to figure out what was actually wrong instead of just guessing or trying to sell me extra work. He explained why certain parts needed to be replaced and made sure I understood everything. After he fixed it, my car was running great, the overheating was gone, and all the warning lights were off. His prices are very reasonable too. It’s hard to find someone who’s honest, takes their time, and actually cares about getting the job done right. I definitely recommend!
