Update 2026: the new Trung Nguyen legend coffee is probably one of the best coffee shop in town now I loved the environment extremely lots of space. You don’t ever have to worry there will be no place for you to sit down. My friend was telling me even though there’s limited variety of food there, but everything was excellent so this plaza is doing better and better having new wonderful shops open here and there give it more reason to stop by and visit the center. Ai Hoa Marketplace is definitely one of the most interesting plazas to explore if you love Asian food—especially Vietnamese cuisine. This center has some of the most long-standing and beloved Vietnamese restaurants in Houston, and every spot I’ve tried here has its own charm. One of the biggest highlights is Dakao Restaurant & Bar, a classic favorite among my Vietnamese friends. It’s been around forever and is known for its traditional dishes, plus a few items that feel familiar to Chinese cuisine. The flavors are authentic, comforting, and always consistent. Another place I absolutely love is Pho Sapa. Their pho broth is incredibly rich and flavorful, and my personal obsession is their beef bones—huge portions, super satisfying, and great pricing. If you’re someone who appreciates a hearty bowl of pho, this place will make you very happy. Ai Hoa Marketplace also hosts one of the trendiest new spots: Hẻm, a Vietnamese night-market–style seafood restaurant. If you’re curious about traditional dishes you don’t usually find in other restaurants, you’ll probably discover them here. The menu is fun, bold, and full of surprises. On top of that, the plaza includes a Korean BBQ restaurant, a bubble tea shop (Magic), and several beautifully decorated dining options. Unlike some older Vietnamese plazas, Ai Hoa Marketplace feels fresh, inviting, and well-designed—perfect for out-of-town visitors, family gatherings, or anyone who wants to experience authentic Vietnamese flavors in one convenient location. If you’re exploring Houston’s food scene or simply craving great Vietnamese dishes, this plaza is absolutely worth a visit.
