Alameda Import Automotive LLC

I brought my car here to Alameda Import Automotive after reading the reviews on Google. I needed my 2017 Toyota Prius to be diagnosed as it was overheating and the check engine light was on. After a diagnostic result came back, they suggested that I had blown a head gasket and a bad water pump. This is an extensive repair and it took time, but they had informed me it could take up to two weeks. They were done with the job in a little over a week and the car problems are gone. I have already driven it to Fresno and back and it’s running great. The staff is one of the friendliest groups of people I’ve ever come across at a mechanics shop and I have found my new mechanic! Very professional, honest and straight forward about your car needs. It's like taking your car to the car doctor, they give diagnosis and keep charted information on future needs/repairs of the car. Im very impressed and will definitely return.

I’ve been working with Matt and his crew for several years and vehicles. I figured it was about time I finally leave a review since that’s how I originally found him. Let’s be honest going to the mechanic is always a stressful thing because it’s an unknown of money time and expense and nothing worse than a bad experience. I’ve had nothing but great experiences here and even when the can of worms vehicles can turn into sometimes Matt has made sure to stand behind not only his word but the service provided. Matt does everything by the book and will give you every reason why you should use the proper parts if you wanna do cosmetic things like lift kits, etc. he will do them, but he’ll tell you every problem you might face down the road and end up paying more for in the end. I appreciate the clear and concise communication and even when I begrudgingly don’t want to spend more on a repair or fix something while everything is taken apart and it would be a good time to do that and ultimately will save me money down the road. You really can’t buy honesty or integrity these days, but these guys have it and I look forward to continue working with them for many more years to come!

This is the only place I’ll ever go to get my car fixed! I recommend to all my friends and family! Matt knows his cars, his pricing is always fair and customer service is always amazing! I’ve been coming to Alameda Import Automotive shortly after they moved to their Oakland location (about 7-8 years ago) and Matt is my go to mechanic.
