I am writing to convey my deepest gratitude for the outstanding care Dr. Alice Yan has provided me over many years, especially now with auto immune, tough struggles with this, and several other medical issues. Her tough although empathetic approach and expertise, have empowered me to cope with the life changes brought upon by the illness, ie. anxiety, frustrations, and uncertainties that had become overwhelming. She has set a shining example of exceptional care, showcasing her brilliance and genuine concern as a compassionate, sharp, and simply straight forward doctor who makes a profound difference in the lives of many patients. Dr. Alice Yan’s exceptional intelligence, paired with her empathetic approach, has been a source of hope, and I am eternally grateful for her care. A huge thanks to Iris for her kindness, excellent assistance, hard work to assist Dr. Yan with front desk, paperworks, patient care, insurance verification and auth, processing excellent office management skills; thank you, Apple for assisting patients, phone calls, and other tasks necessary to help the office run well. After my primary doctor retired and suggested me to pick 3 colleagues to be my primary treating physician. Of the 3 physicians I chose Dr. Alice Yan. I didn’t review any of the 3 doctors since looking for a primary physician was my priority. Doctor Yan has been my physician for almost a year and she’s demonstrated to me that she is concern about my health. I will be 69 yrs old this year and looking for a good doctor as your primary treating physician is so difficult but the medical providers in Northern California isn’t accepting new patients. I was really fortunate to have Dr. Yan accept me as a new patient. That tells me that the doctors in this state - especially in the inner cities are overwhelmed by all the patients they have. It’s not going to get any better for us patients. We just need to know our medical professionals are doing their best to keep our health in check.

Dr. Alice Yan is the worst doctor ever. She doesn't appear to be very knowledgeable as a doctor. Every time I visit her, she's always asking me questions "Should I prescribe this to you?" "Should I up your medicine intake?" or "Should I give you more mg?" Like who is the doctor here me or you? Also, there was a time when my husband and I had a lot going on and were really busy and we were also preparing to go on a vacation. I called her office, and spoke to her and told her that we haven't had a chance to book an appointment because we have been busy and we're going on a vacation so I will schedule an appointment when we get back. I told her I ran out of refills on my prescription and asked if she can approve the refills and I will see her after my vacation, she yelled saying "Go find another doctor. I can't have a patient who only sees me a few times a year." This is the kind of doctor she is. She is rude, and she is only after your money. She is going to keep having you make appointments again and again to see her so she can make money off of you, but every visit I have with her lasts only five minutes. I advise you to look for another doctor that can really help you and will care for your health because that is definitely not Alice Yan.

Alice has been my internist for about 35 years, she is tough and stays ahead of your medical needs. If you ever need a doctor to ride you to make sure you get things done and stay on track medically she is the one for you. She is fast and doesn't fool around, sadly her office staff has changed, the current team is in my opinion less than adequate as compared to her previous team. Front office aside, she one of the best internists I have known through my interactions with the medical industry in San Francisco and the peninsula.

Dr. Alice Yan has been my doctor since I started working in Seton Medical Center around 1990s. She takes care of me and always get me the care I need. Now I am not working or go to Seton but I still go to her. She is the best.
