Andy's Auto Repair is a neighborhood auto repair shop located at 8008 Miramar Rd Ste F in San Diego, CA 92126. Situated along the busy Miramar Road corridor, this shop has been a familiar stop for local drivers looking for straightforward vehicle maintenance and repair. Open Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Andy's Auto Repair serves the greater San Diego community with a focus on practical, everyday automotive needs. The shop is closed on weekends, so planning a weekday visit is recommended for anyone seeking their services.

Many customers highlight the shop's experience with Toyota vehicles in particular. Whether you drive a Camry, Corolla, or Tacoma, the team at Andy's has demonstrated familiarity with Toyota's engineering and common maintenance requirements. Beyond Toyota, the shop handles a range of general auto repair services including oil changes, battery replacements, and diagnostics. The mechanics are described by several longtime patrons as experienced professionals who have been working on cars for decades, bringing hands-on knowledge to each job.

Pricing at Andy's Auto Repair is generally considered standard for the San Diego area. Some customers appreciate that the shop offers competitive rates compared to larger dealerships, making it an accessible option for routine maintenance like oil changes and battery installations. For drivers watching their budget, the shop can be a reasonable alternative for basic service needs. It is worth noting, however, that customer experiences vary. While many reviewers praise the shop's honesty and reliability, others have raised concerns about the quality of parts used or the thoroughness of certain repairs. As with any service provider, it can be helpful to ask questions about parts and warranties before authorizing work.

The atmosphere at Andy's is no-frills and functional — this is a working shop where the priority is getting your vehicle serviced rather than offering a polished waiting room experience. Customers who have had positive experiences describe the staff as honest and dependable, with one reviewer noting they have brought multiple vehicles to Andy over the years with consistently fair results. The shop appears to build loyalty through word of mouth and repeat visits from drivers in the Miramar area and surrounding neighborhoods.

Andy's Auto Repair may be a good fit for San Diego drivers seeking an established local shop for routine maintenance, oil changes, battery service, or general diagnostics — especially those with Toyota vehicles. Customers who value a straightforward, budget-conscious approach to auto care may find the shop meets their needs. As always, we recommend discussing specific repair details, parts quality, and warranty options directly with the shop before committing to any major work. Checking recent reviews and asking for a written estimate can help ensure a positive experience for your particular situation.

Don't let the non-English fool ya! I was scammed for 24 yrs. 24 years of going to Andy. He's cheap because he uses cheap parts, cheap labor, and cheap guarantees of "fixing" your car. If you're going to sell it and wish the best to the person you are selling it to, bring it to Andy. If you're going to keep it, don't let Andy or his peeps touch it. Just gave him another $750+ today that he guaranteed would "fix" my car. Zero results from that $750 i paid him. Ik, shame on me for believing him for 24 years, but now he wants more $$$$ to bring it back to him to "fix" it. I'm good. I already called Andy to let him know that he has lost a lifetime customer and referral source. Promise, do not bring your car to Andy's Automotive

I have been here on 3 occasions. New battery and installation and two separate oil changes. I feel my car received excellent service by elderly mechanics that were clearly experienced and have been doing car repair forever. Their pricing is standard to what everything is nowadays. I am going to contact them about changing the transmission fluid in a sealed - closed box system and differential fluid.
