Asia on the Parkway is an Asian restaurant at 1700 Benjamin Franklin Parkway in Philadelphia, PA, in Center City near the Logan Hotel. For visitors looking for a convenient meal close to the Parkway, it offers a relaxed place to sit down and enjoy lunch or dinner. Customer feedback describes a pretty, comfortable setting and friendly, welcoming service, making the restaurant a practical choice for both a casual meal and a gathering with others. Its location also puts it near the area’s seasonal Christmas Village, as noted by diners visiting Center City.

The menu includes Chinese and Thai options, along with familiar choices such as wonton soup, spring rolls, sesame chicken, and chicken with broccoli. A diner who ordered from the Thai menu felt that the meal did not reflect the flavors they expected, so guests with specific expectations about Thai ingredients or preparation may want to ask about a dish before ordering. Other reviewers describe the food as tasty and authentic, and several say they enjoyed their meal. This range of feedback is useful context: preferences can differ by dish, and the menu offers more than one Asian cuisine to explore.

Lunch is a particular draw for guests who want a satisfying meal at a good price. One reviewer praised the lunch menu for its generous portions and value, while another described finding a hot, tasty meal close to the Logan Hotel. Diners also mention attentive, friendly staff and warm hospitality. The overall picture is of a restaurant where guests can settle in, ask for help with their choices, and enjoy a relaxed meal without needing a special occasion. With a 4.0 rating from 454 reviews, Asia on the Parkway has a substantial base of customer feedback to consult when deciding whether it suits your plans.

The restaurant may also work well for groups. One customer described arranging a private room for 38 people, ordering ahead, and having the meal ready to go with help from Jimmy and the staff. That experience suggests it can be worth contacting the restaurant in advance when planning a larger gathering or coordinating food for a group; confirm arrangements directly, since availability and details can vary. Whether you are stopping in for lunch, meeting friends for a meal, or organizing a group visit, Asia on the Parkway offers a Center City Philadelphia location, a menu spanning Chinese and Thai dishes, and a setting customers describe as welcoming and relaxed.

I had an amazing dining experience at Asia on the Parkway. From the moment I walked in, the warm hospitality made me feel welcome. The waitress was attentive, friendly, and went out of her way to ensure everything was perfect. The chef truly elevated the experience with dishes that were not only beautifully presented but bursting with flavor. Every course felt thoughtfully prepared and authentic. Together, the service and cuisine made for a memorable evening—I can’t wait to return!

Jimmy and his staff were incredibly accommodating! We had 38 people, and he helped us with the private room, ordering ahead, having everything ready to go and made it a very enjoyable experience for all of us! The food was also excellent. Highly recommend!

The good. I actually thought the food was adequate, if I’d ordered Chinese food. Instead I ordered off the Thai menu. There is very little that is the same between the two cuisines. They use zero Thai chilis. Zero lemongrass. Zero fish …

This is a unique dining opportunity in center city Philadelphia. It's located near the Cristmas Village and provides an enjoyable dining experience. We had wonton soup and spring rolls for appetizer. Our main course was sesame chicken and chicken and broccoli. We thoroughly enjoyed the meal and it was reasonably priced.
