Unique place that has a menu that the combination of Cajun and Asian food. I had the seafood gumbo and it was very good. The eggrolls are very good as well. Great little neighborhood place to get a quick bite to eat, especially gumbo. Sept 2024 Update: Hadn't been here in a while so decided to drop in. Food quality seems to have gone downhill. Fried fish and shrimp is nothing like it used to be. Reduced rating from 5 stars to 3.
The Good: Egg Rolls and portion size for the price The Bad: everything else The egg rolls and the sweet chili sauce were good but they didn't have hot mustard which is a staple in Asian restaurants. The pork fried rice, although a good size portion for the price, was barely passable. It had very little taste, very little egg, very little vegetables and no garlic or ginger root for flavoring. The pork wasn't tender, it was overcooked and tough to chew. They didn't have chili paste, which is also a staple in Asian restaurants. Instead the waiter brought out Sriracha chili sauce which only a neophyte would use on fried rice. The taste ruins the rice. The waiter did the bare minimum but since it was near closing time and he looked like a friend's son I cut him some slack.
Consistency is EVERYTHING. We've coined this spot our Asian bang for your buck joint, lol. They're always kind, food has always been tasty, hot and cooked properly and they've got really good prices for the quantity. Another hidden gem! I’ve been coming to this friendly restaurant for years. Food is consistently delicious. The quality is outstanding. The location is nice. The staff is amazing. My favorite is the grilled shrimp with fried rice.(Yes, you can request fried rice rather than regular rice). The vegetables are so delicious and the perfect texture. I hope they’re able to stay here for a very long time.
