Assisting Hands Home Care

Assisting Hands Home Care has been a wonderful company to work with after my mom’s fall. They found the right support for her in under 24 hours, and their team has been consistently compassionate, responsive, flexible, and thoughtful throughout her recovery. We are incredibly grateful for their quick action and the genuine care they put into matching her with the perfect caregiver so that she could recover at home. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for dependable, compassionate home care.

I had shoulder surgery in October which left me unable to fully use both arms for a couple of weeks. Assisting Hands Arlington provided 24-hour in home care for the first 3 days and then 8 hours a day for the remaining 14 days. I am normally modest, but they made the bathing and other bathroom care effortless. In addition to that personal care, they made some wonderful breakfasts and lunches. There were several wonderful caretakers, but Rebecca and Carmen were standouts and both extremely pleasant and easy to be around. Rebecca even accompanied me to my 7-day post-op doctor visit. Their care made possible my mobility after only 2+ weeks. I am not looking forward to more surgery but if I need any more, I know where to go for in-home assistance.

I wish I could give more than five stars for this review. Assisting Hands has gone above and beyond time and time again. We connected with them when another agency failed to be able to provide staffing for my elderly father. At the time, such assistance was critical for his safety. Assisting Hands provided an experienced caregiver with only a few hours notice on a Friday afternoon. In my experience, hiring a new agency typically take days or weeks, but Assisting Hands understood our urgent need and "bent over backwards" to help us. More than that, Brett, the owner of Assisting Hands, drove over personally to check on my father and to make sure staff understood my father’s needs. I was on the phone with Brett making near real time changes to the schedule throughout that weekend. Assisting Hands patiently accommodated all these changes. We have now moved my father’s care over to Assisting Hands exclusively. I don’t think I have ever encountered a business that demonstrates the compassion and empathy embodied by Assisting Hands. I highly recommend this agency.

My family and I HIGHLY recommend Assisting Hands Home Health Care. They truly delivered everything that was promised to us. We had tried multiple other local healthcare companies and honestly, were disappointed and traumatized. The other companies were not reliable, their staff was lazy, not trained well, some even stole from us and were only interested in taking up a chair in our home to play on their phones! One company, ‘promised’ us consistency, and yet within 30 days they sent 18 different caretakers for my mom! So, when the owner of Assisting Hands, Brett, came for the meet and greet visit, we were extremely skeptical. However, everything he told us he made happen!! We have qualified, compassionate caregivers, that are punctual, reliable, and friendly. Again, Assisting Hands will not disappoint and we can’t say enough good things about this company. Wish we could give them more than 5 stars.
