So I called multiple times asking if I brought in my work truck that I could have the A/C checked out and fixed within a two day time frame. I told them if not I would find someone else it’s fine. I also informed him that another mechanic that said they couldn’t do it in the time frame I wanted told me the compressor and condenser needed to be replaced that I understood they needed to do their own diagnostic, but I would prepare for at least that. He said he understood had it dropped off Friday morning. I called twice Friday for an update. The second time was right before closing and I asked (because they still haven’t even looked at it) if it was possible to still have that work done and the truck fixed by end of day Saturday if not I would have it picked up in the morning. He told me that yes it was possible and they would be on it first thing in the morning. I called an hour after they opened they still haven’t put it in the bay to work on it. He assured me they were ready to fix it and it could still be fixed by end of day. I called again (I’ve called every time at this point) about noon I called back because I hadn’t heard back and was hoping that they knew I was serious about fixing it and just started working on it. No they barely put it on the bay quoted me nearly a grand more than the other mechanic and told me to come pick it up they wouldn’t be able to fix it that day. Complete lack of integrity. So my question to this “automotive specialist” if you knew that a compressor and condenser on an f250 was needing to be changed was 4 hours enough time to do it? If not why did you even look at my truck and waste my time? I honestly want to do a charge back on my card, but unlike this mechanic shop I have integrity Went through the reviews for the past few months and they responded only to good reviews.

I took my daughter's car to midas for a simple oil change. They had me come to the back and look under her car and tried explaining all the things wrong with the vehicle. We just purchased the vehicle 6 months before and had it looked over throughly and no problems. They tried telling me it had $2500 worth of axle and sway bar repair. I wanted a second opinion so I took it to Austin's Automotive Specialists. Making the appointment for the next day was simple and straight forward. We dropped her car off and by 11 the next day it had been looked at and ready to be picked up. Andy stated that the car was fine and he only saw minor repair to the actual piece they showed me. He was honest and saved me some stress. I will take my cars back there for any future work!! Great people to do business with.
