Auto Check

Auto check was recommended to me by a coworker. I needed regular maintenance but also had water leaking inside of my car when it rained. Within minutes they had it diagnosed, changed the oil and rotated the tires. The fastest and best service I’ve ever experienced.

Great experience. Dropped car off at 8. John called with a list of issues and associated costs in the morning before starting work. Got my car back early afternoon, and it’s running great. Good price and fast service!

Prompt and courteous service. Took 15-20 minutes and had a peaceful wait in the clean and comfortable waiting area. Definitely my new go to for oil changes and maintenance! Enjoy my technician Don's dance moves as he finished up my service.

I highly recommend Auto Check. I am an engineer. Worked on cars all my life. I know car repairs, but I am at an age where I don’t want to turn the wrench anymore. Finding a trustworthy shop is tough. Here, managers and mechanics change ongoing so service quality suffers. Then, when you bring your car in, they come up with a list of repairs that really aren’t needed. My experience is that Auto Check is different. Same owner for a couple decades. Employees that don’t change. The result is high quality work.at a fair price. Found my new mechanic. Great job fellas.

My 75 year old mother brought her car in for a oil change and inspection but her check engine light was on. We wanted to get the oil changed and wait to see if that would make the engine light go off since that has happened before many times. The owner said the oil change would not fix the check engine light and that she needed to let them run diagnostics which would be $95 to figure out what's wrong. She let them run it and afterwards they said it needed a new leak detection pump or else the Engine light wouldn't go off and they couldn't do the inspection. She said she would still like to only do the oil change for now and wanted to think about the leak detection pump because it would be $350 at least to fix. In the meantime, after the oil change the check engine light does go off, when asked how that happened if changing the oil wouldn't help they say they don't know. We called back the next day and they then have an excuse of "we reset the code that's why it went off." Sounds convenient but the engine light came back on so we gave them the benefit of the doubt and paid to get the leak detection pump fixed and of course they do an inspection after because the check engine light is off now. So we let it go and just felt suspicious and have lost trust in them about the whole thing. Two days later my mother tries to open the hood to put some windshield washing fluid in (because I guess they don't have that as part of their oil change service) only for the hood not to open! No matter how hard we pulled the lever or pulled on the hood it would not come up. We have had this car for 8 years and never once have we had an issue until right after we get this work done with them. We take it back to them and they just say it's nothing they did and some wires snapped loose and we'll just have to use a screwdriver from now on to open up the hood.......No Help and no responsibility taken for clearly messing up the hood. There has been no problem with the hood opening prior to them "fixing" the car. My mother was almost in an accident because the hood popped up as she was driving to work. Ever since the car was bought in 2017 and through years of commutes this has never happened, but the manager even tried to blame my mother for that! I have been taking not only my mother's car, my car, and my brother's car there for years getting things done like oil changes, inspections and other work. Just this past month I had to get my air conditioner fixed by them costing almost $500. Then we do all this other work to my mother's car which cost over $350 with oil change and inspection. After some browbeating they agreed to take off the $95 the diagnostics cost since we got everything done with them at least. Finally now it's funny to say but today maybe a two weeks after having this done. The check engine light has come back on and I had been giving it a chance because they said it would go away but my air conditioner is still making a slight noise after a month of giving it time. I will no longer be going to this shop. They lost 3 customers and I will never recommend them again to people I know. I'm highly suspicious of them now and angry to know that even if they mess something up on your car while trying to fix something they will not take responsibility for it. Also when asking the owner about and saying we won't be coming back he got angry as if we were the problem, not for his technician messing up our hood and clearly doing faulty work. My mother's car hood is now broken, the check engine light is back on, the change oil light is on after having just changed it with them and my air conditioner is not completely fixed.....do not use this shop!
