Bambu Dessert Drinks is a dessert shop at 600 Washington Ave #9 in Philadelphia, PA, serving customers looking for a sweet drink or a casual place to pause. The shop is open daily, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday and until 9 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Its 4.2-star rating across 316 reviews offers a useful snapshot of customer experiences: many visitors find something to enjoy, while comments also point to differences in expectations around value, ordering, and the in-store atmosphere.
Drinks are the main reason customers stop in. One reviewer described ordering a drink with yellow beans and coconut milk, and noted that the cashier patiently understood the request and prepared it correctly. That account suggests the staff can make ordering feel welcoming, even when a customer is unsure how to describe a drink. Other customers call the drinks good or acceptable, making Bambu a potential choice for a quick dessert-style beverage while exploring the Washington Avenue area. Reviews do not establish a single signature item, so visitors may want to check the current menu and clarify ingredients or add-ons when ordering.
The atmosphere can suit different kinds of visits, though it may not feel the same to everyone. Reviewers describe people studying and chatting, and one person found a quiet corner to settle into after work. That makes the shop a possibility for a study break, informal catch-up, or brief stop between errands. Music volume and the level of conversation have been less comfortable for some visitors, so those seeking a particularly quiet setting may want to keep that feedback in mind. The shop appears to accommodate both customers who linger and those who are simply picking up a drink.
Value and receipt details are recurring points in some customer feedback. A few reviewers felt the drinks cost more than expected or questioned charges for items such as yogurt pop and a sugar-related fee. Experiences can differ, but it is sensible to review the posted price and ask whether any extras or charges apply before finalizing an order. For visitors choosing a Philadelphia, PA dessert shop, Bambu Dessert Drinks offers a convenient daily stop with drinks, a casual study-and-chat atmosphere, and staff praised in at least one review for being kind and helpful. Clear questions at the counter can help make the visit straightforward.

People were studying and chatting as we arrived. We found the drinks were okay, but the cost felt a bit high for what you get. It was fine for a quick stop, but probably not somewhere we'd rush back to regularly.
Everyone seemed so focused on their phones and homework, it was hard to get into the chatter. The music was a bit loud for my taste when I stopped by after work, but the drinks were still pretty good and I found a quiet corner to settle into.
Random pricing at this place. We ordered 5 large drinks that came out to $57 and on the receipt we were charged for yogurt pop $0.75 for each drink and also sugar tax. How is there a sugar tax in drinks? We asked about the price because we did not order yogurt pop or anything extra in our drinks and they said the price for Large on the menu is actually a medium and since we ordered large, they added the additional charge. This is such a scam because they did not clarify that and who knows if they're just charging whatever they want. How are you gonna tell customers the Large on the menu is not Large...you need to update your menu then. Will not be going back here again.
The cashier was so nice to me. I didn't know how to order the drink, so I kept saying "yellow beans and coconut milk." I thought she was going to lose her patience with me, but she got my order right and smiled when she handed it to me. I was almost ready to cry because of how sweet she was🌝🌝 …
Random pricing, the menu clearly stated the drink cost was $7.75 for medium. The cashier explained the price was due to a sugar charge but the receipt clearly shows the sugar tax should have been $0.30, no idea where the rest came from.
