Bambu is a Vietnamese dessert shop at 287 Adams St in Dorchester, MA, near the Adams Street and Park Street area. It brings together Vietnamese-style sweet drinks, bubble tea, smoothies, and desserts in one neighborhood stop. Customers describe a broad selection, making it a useful place to visit when everyone in a group wants something a little different, from a drinkable dessert to a waffle. The shop has a 4.0-star rating based on 176 reviews, offering a helpful snapshot of local customer feedback while leaving room for individual tastes to vary.

The menu includes Vietnamese chè, a category of sweet dessert drinks and bowls, with options mentioned by customers such as chè ba màu, chè thập cẩm, chè trái cây, and sương sa hột lựu. Halo halo is another choice, alongside waffles and smoothies. These offerings give visitors a chance to try several kinds of Vietnamese-inspired treats in one visit. Some guests especially enjoy the variety, while preferences differ on sweetness and flavor. If you like desserts that are very sweet, check the particular item you choose rather than assuming every option has the same taste profile.

For drinks, Bambu serves bubble tea and other specialty beverages. Customer feedback mentions brown sugar almond milk with tapioca boba, as well as a wide selection of teas and drinkable desserts. One reviewer appreciated that staff could accommodate a dairy allergy; because needs and ingredients can vary by order, it is sensible to ask the team about a specific drink or topping before ordering. This mix of teas, tapioca, smoothies, and sweet Vietnamese drinks makes Bambu a fitting choice for an afternoon treat, a casual dessert stop, or a group looking to sample different flavors.

Reviewers describe the shop as clean and bright, with some seating for dining in. They also note that the space is small, though it has a decent amount of seating for its size. The atmosphere is casual and centered on choosing a drink or dessert, rather than a full-service meal. Bambu may suit local residents, friends meeting for something sweet, and visitors who want to explore Vietnamese chè and bubble tea around Dorchester. Customer experiences vary, so browsing the menu and choosing according to your preferred sweetness and texture can help set expectations.

Bambu is open daily, with service from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday and Sunday, and until 9:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Its address is 287 Adams St, Dorchester, MA 02122. Just stopped by becoz we were at a restaurant nearby. Saw 4 stars so I didn't expect much. Got 5 different types of chè ( sương sa hạt lựu, ba màu, thập cẩm, chè trái cây & halo halo) and 2 waffles. If you like very very sweet desserts, I don't think you will like it. But we all love what we get. I asked to have ice beside so we can add it later when we got home, but some of us ended up eating it without ice and it was good for them. The waffles are more on the chewy side, not crispy, so if you like crunchy waffles, don't get it. The staff was nice and explained everything we need to know about our order. Overall, it's pretty good.

The che (Vietnamese dessert drink) is not very good. Lacks flavor and is not as sweet as it should be. The “Awesome Trio” (Che ba mau) is acceptable. Coco Leaf is much better.
