Always very good! Great actually. Service is awesome. Family owned spot, been there awhile. Always gets awards from The Observer. I was bored with my usual order, so I got Pineapple Fried Rice. It didn't disappoint. It's a quaint vibe. We also had the Fried Catfish Curry, Spring Rolls & egg rolls. I was slacking on pictures I guess. Anyways. Go there. It's good.

Bangkok City is an amazing Thai traditional restaurant. Firstly, I would like to talk about the cultural environment. The restaurant does a great job of representing themselves with statues of Buddha and pictures of Buddhist monks. I was in awe from the culture, very beautiful. Next, I would like to talk about the food. The food was cooked nicely and I was even able to take home my left over food from the restaurant. Specifically, I tried the Bangkok City Rice and the Green Papaya Salad. They were both very good and appetizing with cultural flavors. Lastly, the service. Personally, I think other reviewers may have been in a bad mood because the service was excellent! Many of the employees were helping multiple tables and were very patient. Additionally, the employees were willing to answer questions about the food and help pack up left over food into containers. Barely any restaurants do this now a days, therefore I think Bangkok City is unique. In summary, I recommend Bangkok City for someone who wants to try Asian food from culture to service they were spectacular at both. Therefore, I give Bangkok City 5 stars on this review.

Date 7-1-2026 3:30pm I’ve been a loyal customer here for over 10 times and always tip well, but this visit really disappointed me. I ordered the Mongolian Beef, and it came so watery that it was literally dripping through the brown bag I had to pour the excess liquid out before I could even eat it. The flavor was way off from what I normally get here too. On top of that, what I received didn’t match the picture I found online. When I brought it up with the woman at the front, she insisted the photo wasn’t even from their restaurant, even though it was the only result that came up when searching for that dish. What really got to me was when she questioned whether I even knew what my usual order (sesame chicken) looks like as a regular, that felt unnecessary and honestly insulting. She also tried to charge me a price difference, but when she checked the menu herself, she found out the two dishes were the same price anyway. The food quality aside, the customer service in this interaction was disappointing. I hope this gets addressed, because it’s not the experience I’m used to here.

Ordered green curry with beef for lunch today. Amazing, complex flavor. Hands down the best curry I’ve ever had. Highly recommend! Although I didn’t eat inside, the atmosphere is beautifully decorated and very calm. Can’t wait to try something else from the menu!

Bangkok City has always held a very special place in my heart. My late son and I decided to try Thai for the first time about twenty years ago and we never looked back. Jan always took great care of us back then—and she continues to serve delicious food with a warm, friendly smile when my father and I eat there today. It’s a relaxed, comfy, quiet place to eat. I have had quite a few things here over the years and I’ve always enjoyed my meals. We usually start with the chicken satay, corn patties, Thai salad rolls, or their delicious Tom Kha Gai. My favorites entrees are their yellow curry, Hello! Ginger, Pad-Gra-Prow (fresh basil), Cashew Nut, green curry, jungle curry, and basil noodles. Before developing a ridiculous shellfish/seafood allergy, I was a big fan of their Panang and Massaman curries. My wife loves their Pad Thai, and my Dad loves their sweet & sour entrees along with their seafood Pad Ped. When in season, their mango sticky rice is a must. If I can’t have that, I go for the black rice pudding. Also, if you’re a fan of iced tisanes (herbal teas), their raspberry iced tea is my absolute fave. They’re the only place I know that serves it. (If I were the kind of person who got embarrassed, I would stop myself from drinking so much of it my belly sloshes.)
