Sign in to reviewI want to begin by saying that this review is not reflective of Dr. Mahallati or his original staff but only for Dr. Linda Pearce. I was unfortunately seen by her after 2 years of no regular dental cleanings due to Covid. I have always trusted my physicians and dentists and when I was told I had multiple cavities that needed a crown, and an onlay, despite not having an ounce of pain or sensitivity anywhere, I blindly followed her advice and went with the procedure same day. Numerous visits later with multiple adjustments for continuous pain and cold sensitivity, when I again called to make an appointment with Dr. Mahallati for a second opinion, I was told to go see an orthodontist. Dr. Mahallati has been my husband’s dentist for over 20 years and I was not allowed to make an appointment with him. I then made my way to another dental clinic where the previous X-rays from Dr. Pearce showed there was no severe cavity. I did not need the crown that I had just had done with Dr. Pearce. Dr. Pearce over exaggerated the dental cavities I (may have) had, and when my pain was not resolving after her procedures, rather than working with me to explain why, just told me to go see someone else for a root canal. I went in with zero pain or sensitivity and then suffered a month of chronic dull pain and severe cold sensitivity. I would not recommend getting any procedures done with her until you get a second opinion. I paid about $1600 out of pocket for procedures I didn’t necessarily need and because of which I am now in pain.
Awesome dentist and an equally awesome staff. This is our family dental group for over 25 years! Low staff turnover, so they are obviously competent and courteous! Gina in the front office is awesome! Dr Linda is very good at what she does… and it shows!. Love this efficient and professional team!
I was a patient at this office for the past two years. I initially came in only for routine cleanings and had never experienced any discomfort with my teeth before. The hygienist during my first visit was excellent, which is why I returned for a second and third appointment. However, I noticed that there was a different hygienist each time, which I found concerning. My husband was also a patient here. During his visit, Dr. Pearce made him feel uncomfortable and embarrassed. She told him he needed periodontal therapy, 3–4 fillings, and a deep cleaning. Thankfully, the periodontal machine was not working that day. He did proceed with the deep cleaning, but later sought care from another dentist. A year afterward, his current dentist informed him that he did not need periodontal therapy or multiple fillings — only regular cleanings. As for me, my first visit was just a routine cleaning. On my second visit, Dr. Pearce recommended replacing 3/4 amalgam fillings, stating they were “due” for replacement, even though they had never caused me any problems. I regret not seeking a second opinion before agreeing. During the procedure, no protective measures were used while removing the amalgam fillings. On my third visit, she recommended replacing another amalgam filling. Again, I trusted her judgment and agreed. Unfortunately, this procedure resulted in severe complications. I received three injections (two in my cheek and one in my gum), yet I felt pain throughout the entire procedure. It has now been more than two months, and I am still experiencing constant pain, headaches (which I never had before), difficulty chewing on that side, and facial discomfort. I consulted a different dentist for a second opinion. He explained that amalgam fillings typically only need replacement if they are broken or show significant wear — which mine did not. He also showed me the X-ray from the most recent filling, which appears significantly larger than necessary, almost resembling a crown rather than a filling. I was told that if this filling fails or continues to cause problems, I may need a root canal or even an extraction. I strongly encourage anyone considering treatment here to seek a second opinion before proceeding with major dental work. Based on my experience, procedures were recommended that may not have been necessary and have led to ongoing complications
Dr Pearce, I never had dental problems until we met. Within 30 seconds I was diagnosed with needing my very first and second crown ever. Neither felt right from the beginning, pressure and cold sensitive for months turned into more than a year. Still not right but I got sort of used to it favoring one side to chew. Now, 4 years later, a giant abscess developed and a root-canal became necessary. Done right by my new dentist of course. Instant relief and a solid new crown. No more sensitivity No more pain. Ahhh relief Wait there is more: My insurance did not cover the new crown since it was less than 5 years old/young. I second previous critical reviews. Be cautious get second opinions and go somewhere else. The front office is fantastic ! I miss Dr Mahalathi
What an amazing team!!! Great customer service. Thank you Dr. Pearce for all your help. Your team has change my life. Shoutout to Mayra for walking me step by step and positive energy. Today I found my new hygienist, Amber. She makes sure your calm and makes the time fly. Lastly Gina for always welcoming me with a fabulous smile. Great job team. Keep in mind I drive 1 hr away. That should explain how good they are.
