I don't understand why doctors. Wont name any names. But they want to write scripts for narcotics and keep you on them for years. I even quit myself. Doc put me back on them cause my blood pressure high. So 10mg norco. And xanax and valium. Then 7 years later they want to treat you like a drug addict. What they don't want to admit is they have been your dealer for 7 years. Thanks doc. For keeping me on something that i obviously didn't neeed!!- see you in court. Mearle Wright

My boyfriend called ahead, described his symptoms, and the doctor thought they were serious enough to allow him to come in that day...but they refused to see him once he got there because he didn't have insurance. It's dishonest and immoral to understand a patient's symptoms are serious enough to allow an immediate visit, but then deny them care.

This rating is for Dr. Steven Massoud at the Irving location. I had an appt for 4pm today. I showed up at 4:05pm. I was immediately told I would likely have to reschedule. I explained that the delay was caused by me not being from the area as I just moved from out of state and I got a little confused with the directions. I was also coming from work and hit rush hour traffic. I showed my out of state license to prove it but this was to no avail. I asked if there was a grace period, as I am accustomed to office’s having a 10 or 15 minute grace period. I was told there was none for me as a new patient and that I had to have been there 15 minutes early. Nonetheless, the receptionist told me she would ask the doctor if he would see me and I promptly gave her my insurance and ID and signed all required forms within 2-3 minutes of arrival. After that, the receptionist asked the doctor if he would see me. I waited for about 25 minutes for his response. He said he would not see me and I would need to reschedule, despite the forms having been completed prior to 4:08pm! Mind you, the waiting room was EMPTY! Also, while I waited, a couple other patients walked in and were immediately seen. I was asked if I would like to reschedule. I was so disgusted, I refused. If a doctor shows this little care/ concern in seeing me as a new patient, I do not want him to be my doctor at all! I am thoroughly disgusted and would not recommend this doctor or practice based on this experience.

Dr. Austin is my physician, been going to him 10 plus years. He and his staff are excellent, I never wait long in the waiting room, if I do they always let me know the status and I appreciate that. The technology (mobile application), and new facilities are incredible. Dr. Austin and his staff are extremely efficient and lab results or always a fast turnaround, and if a phone call is needed for further explanation of my lab reports, they are more than willing to walk me through the details. It doesn't get any better than these folks, now anyone can have a bad day, and Covid-19 has made it even more challenging for health care professionals. But, regardless of these circumstances, I feel they go above and beyond to provide great care and support for my health concerns and preventative disease protocols. Therefore, I always receive a consistent, reliable, and effective treatment, care services, and results. I would not hesitate to recommend any of the internist at this facility to a family member, friend, or coworker.
