Bee Boba and Deli is a neighborhood tea store in Berkeley, California, located at 2948 Martin Luther King Jr Way, Berkeley, CA 94703. Situated inside Ashby Super Market, it brings boba drinks and deli food together in one convenient stop. The setup works well for a quick order while shopping or moving through the neighborhood, while the combination of drinks and sandwiches offers more choice than a typical tea counter. For Berkeley residents, nearby shoppers, and anyone passing along Martin Luther King Jr Way, Bee Boba and Deli is an approachable place to explore familiar boba favorites alongside less expected menu items.
Drinks are a major reason guests visit. Customer feedback calls out the araisi, a Yemeni drink described as a thick mango smoothie with coconut and nut toppings. It provides a distinctive alternative for people who want something beyond a standard milk tea, and one guest noted receiving a sample before ordering. The taro smoothie has also stood out to visitors for tasting different from what they may expect elsewhere. Boba remains a central choice, but the drink selection seems especially suited to people who enjoy discovering new flavors or prefer some flexibility with sweetness; one reviewer appreciated staff help making a drink less sweet.
The deli side adds a savory option to the visit. One customer specifically highlighted a chicken honey sandwich with turkey, toasted on Dutch crunch bread and finished with the requested trimmings. That kind of pairing makes Bee Boba and Deli a practical Berkeley stop when a drink alone is not enough. Guests can combine a smoothie or boba tea with a sandwich rather than making separate stops, whether they are looking for a casual lunch, an afternoon snack, or something to take along.
Reviews repeatedly point to friendly, helpful service. Guests have mentioned warm interactions at the counter, including a lighthearted conversation with Muhammad and accommodating drink preparation from Ray. The atmosphere comes across as casual and welcoming, with staff members who help first-time visitors navigate unfamiliar choices such as araisi. One reviewer found the shop while searching for boba near a UCSF clinic, suggesting it can be a useful option for people who need a convenient refreshment stop in the area.

Sign in to reviewMuhammad was a sweetheart. Great personality even when I joked about the price of a small box of Boston Baked Beans candies. The price today vs then and our age difference showed. We had a great experience with laughter.
First time here (3/11/26). Searched for a boba place near ucsf clinic. The workers are friendly. Even gave us sample of the (yemeni) araisi drink. Sorry no image, I finished it right away. 😉 Their taro smoothie taste different too. Both drinks were very good! Highly recommend! Thank you …
will be coming back!! originally came for boba but saw a yemeni drink called araisi on the menu and glad i tried it, it’s a thick mango smoothie with coconut and other nut toppings. ray @ the front is super accommodating and made it low sweet for me and it HIT. looks like they have promo prices for their soft opening, come thru! also plenty of easy 20min parking right next to the deli
Brand new boba place inside the Ashby Super Market. The staff is friendly and helpful. They're working out a few kinks - the tea could be stronger, and they should put 50/25% sugar and ice options on their kiosk menu, but I'm sure they'll adjust to people's feedback. We need a boba joint in this neighborhood - go give them a try!
The deli is fire , I had a chicken honey sandwich with turkey toasted on Dutch crunch bread with all the trimmings y’all when I tell you I haven't had a sandwich this good before let me tell you now but don’t just take my word for it go taste for yourself, and the service so friendly. I will be back for sure.
