Do not bring your car here unless you have an old classic car or they are going to overcharge you for the most basic service. …
Took truck in to replace the starter. On this model it’s necessary to remove the intake manifold. Mechanic dropped a washer down into the head and onto the piston. He didn’t realize it till he started it. They had to replace the head and #2 piston and rings. Truck didn’t run right since. I checked the oil and it didn’t even register on the dipstick. So either they didn’t put oil in or because of the repair it was being consumed. Went back 4 times in 10 days and the still couldn’t get it to run smoothly. Ben finally told me to take it to the dealer. At my expense! I just decided to live with the rough idle. 4 weeks later the cooling fan assembly broke loose and trashed the radiator, hoses, belt etc.. Called Ben and told him what happened and he denied they had to remove the fan assembly to replace the head. I told him it’s prettier easy to prove you did and in fact the mechanic that did the repairs told me they did (before this happened). Ben told me he’d call me back. He must have spoke to the mechanic because he told me to call this insurance company and they’d cover the need repairs ($1700) and car rental ($600). Well they wouldn’t. Told Ben this and said he would call them. He called me back and said I was correct that they wouldn’t cover it. I asked him how do you want to handle this then and he said he wasn’t going to and that “he couldn’t keep repairing my truck every time something happened to it”! This was all brought on by his own mechanic’s negligence. His warranty states “one year parts and labor “. He doesn’t want to honor his warranty. Told him I would have to take him to small claims court to which he responded “go ahead”. I’ve since filed and am suing him for 3 times the amount of the repairs and car rental. I’d stay away from this place. James, the office manager/secretary is nothing more than a used car salesman. Just blows smoke. I hope Ben sees this and responds. Update. It’s been about 6 weeks and no response from Ben. Update. Today I won my case in small claims court against Ben! Notice Ben only responds to positive reviews.
I had an issue with gear shifting, and they didn’t rush into transmission replacement like I feared. Instead, they checked cables and fluid levels first. The actual issue was much simpler than expected. That honest approach made a big difference in cost and trust.
They did a great fixing my BMW 2018 and gave very honest recommendations.
