Ben Thanh Asian Market is an Asian grocery store at 1001 S Federal Blvd in Denver, CO, serving shoppers looking for Asian pantry staples, fresh ingredients, and ready-to-eat specialties. Its name may bring to mind the well-known Ben Thanh landmark in Ho Chi Minh City, and customers note that the store carries a range of products imported from Vietnam. Whether you are planning a familiar home-cooked meal or browsing for something new, the selection offers a practical place to explore ingredients and flavors from across Asia, with a particular connection to Vietnamese foods.

Customers mention a varied mix of groceries, including frozen foods, fish and seafood, vegetables, fruit, and mushrooms. Fresh produce is a notable draw for shoppers preparing meals at home, while the frozen selection and ready-to-eat specialties can offer convenient options when you want food without starting every dish from scratch. The store also carries rice varieties that customers seek out specifically: one reviewer returns for Buddha long-grain white rice and was glad to find Three Ladies rice in stock. These firsthand details make Ben Thanh a useful stop for stocking up on familiar staples as well as discovering products that may be harder to find at a neighborhood store.

Noodle shoppers have their own reason to visit: reviewers call out favorite ramen and pho noodles and praise their prices compared with other stores around town. Together with the produce, seafood, rice, and mushrooms, those items make the market relevant to cooks assembling a Vietnamese meal, preparing Asian-inspired dishes, or replenishing everyday pantry ingredients. The selection described by customers suggests a store where it is worth taking time to look through the aisles rather than arriving with only one item in mind. Product availability can vary, so shoppers looking for a particular brand or ingredient may want to check what is on the shelves during their visit.

The customer feedback is mixed but gives useful context: the market has a 4.2-star rating from 82 reviews, with shoppers praising product variety and calling out specific rice and noodle finds. One reviewer advises visitors to be ready to bargain and describes vendors as skilled negotiators, so a little patience may be helpful when discussing a purchase. Ben Thanh Asian Market is open daily from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., making it convenient to plan a visit any day of the week. For Denver shoppers seeking Vietnamese imports, fresh cooking ingredients, frozen seafood, or pantry staples in one local market, it is a worthwhile place to browse.

I only buy Buddha long grain white rice here. I was surprised they carried three ladies since it’s always out of stock in my hometown store in ca. I’ll definitely be back for third bag.

Ben Thanh is the name of the historic, cultural landmark in Ho Chi Minh City (formerly called Saigon) in Vietnam so when I saw the name I had to check it out. They do have an array of Vietnam imported products, all frozen, fish and sea food, ready-to-eat specialties, vegetables, fruits. I had never seen so many different kinds of fish. I was so overwhelmed, I didn’t know what to get. What I did get: frozen 100% sugar cane juice, passion fruit pulps; fresh taro, bitter squash, herbs, and chrysanthemum shoots; fresh whole Basa. The man was so helpful and kind; he cleaned, cut it into perfect size for “canh chua cá kho tộ”. I can’t wait to go there again for other products. Note the store looks small and not as inviting but it offers much more than first sight. Check it out!

They sell our favorite ramen/pho noodles here at the best price I've seen in town! Great produce, and amazing mushrooms as well. I haven't seen oyster, trumpet …
