Best Living Care is a home health care service based in San Leandro, California, serving people who need practical, compassionate support at home. Located at 14852 Wicks Blvd, San Leandro, CA 94577, this local provider is a point of contact for individuals and families arranging home-based caregiving. Its role is especially relevant when daily needs become more than relatives can safely or consistently manage. Rather than replacing family involvement, in-home support can help a household create a more manageable routine around a loved one's care. It can be a practical consideration for families who want care to take place in familiar surroundings while they coordinate recovery, aging, or serious illness.
Customer accounts describe situations where family capacity was no longer enough. One reviewer was referred after a mother's emergency room visit for a broken ankle and described a month or so of around-the-clock care to assist with transfers. Another reviewer thanked the team for support during recovery and specifically noted an electric scooter and walker that helped them stay off their feet. These accounts suggest that Best Living Care has supported clients with day-to-day needs during a difficult recovery period. They do not define every visit, but they give useful context to families seeking in-home assistance when mobility has been limited.
Feedback also describes care for people in hospice and with advanced illness. Families writing about a mother's hospice care characterized the caregivers as professional, personable, and friendly, while another family said its caregivers handled their bedridden mother during late-stage cancer and hospice. For households coordinating care in San Leandro, that context makes the service relevant for care needs that may be ongoing, intensive, or emotionally demanding. Each situation is different, so it is sensible to discuss the needed level of help, scheduling, and caregiver fit directly before making arrangements. The reviews do not outline every service or clinical scope, which makes a conversation about individual needs especially important.
Public review feedback shows a 4.4 rating from 9 reviews, with multiple appreciative accounts alongside one reviewer who reported difficulty obtaining required special care products. That mixed feedback is worth considering as part of a thoughtful decision, particularly when supplies or specific accommodations are essential. The listed office hours are 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM Monday through Saturday, and closed Sunday. For people comparing home health care services near San Leandro, CA, Best Living Care may be worth contacting to ask about availability, the scope of caregiving support, and whether its approach aligns with the person's needs and family routine. A clear conversation can help set practical expectations from the start. This is also an opportunity to explain the care recipient's circumstances and the family's preferred plan.

Sign in to reviewI was referred to BLC from a case manager at an ER where my Mom was treated. She had a broken ankle, and needed help with all transfers for nearly a month. The caregiving work at home exceeded what my father and I could do. We had 24 /7 care from BLC for a month or so. I am so impressed with BLC. All of the caregivers that came seemed so kind, competent, safe, and creative in how they met some of my Mom's requests. It was not an easy job for them at times, but the caregivers were very understanding of the situation, were patient, and focused on meeting my Mom's needs, which were many. And sometimes it was to be a listening ear for her, they talked with her a lot about her frustrations at being immobile, and it helped her get through it. Also, other BLC staff, in assesments(?) came out and spent a long meeting understanding the needs that we had. They remained in close contact with me, updating me about who would come for shifts, asking if I had info that I needed to transmit to all the caregivers. I just can't say enough how much I was wowed by our experience with BLC. I didn't know that there were homecare agencies as well run and coordinated as BLC. They were able to get a group of great caregivers together very quickly in our time of need. Luckily, my Mom has recovered from her ankle break, so she is able to walk, and doesn't need the daily or overnight care. If I am ever in a situation again where I need to have care for a loved one - I would absolutely be in contact with BLC. I really felt like they cared about my Mom, and our family.
Kate thanks to you, Manual and your team for a awesome 🎇 job . These few weeks have helped me out tremendously. I am grateful for the help and support. The electric ⚡ scooter you brought me is exactly what I need to Stay off me feet , so it can heal soon . The Walker is a great touch for home 🏠 chores and everyday getting around. The thorough really makes my place look new again. Your organization is an Angel. I would definitely recommend you to other patients who are in need of help.. 😇
My mom is a hospice patient with BLC. The hospice agency serving her highly recommended that I consider BLC for the needed caregiving services. Since December 2023, I have found the services and care to be professional, personable, friendly and my mom is happy to spend this stage of her life in her own home. You will appreciate the office staff as well as the caregivers.
BLC was great. When my sister and I could no longer provide the level of care our Mother needed we went to BLC. The caretakers we got went above and beyond what we expected. Our mother was very late stage cancer, bedridden and on hospice, but our caretakers from BLC, Kash and Vilma, handled our mom with so much care, skill & knowledge and love and kindness. They truly made such a difference for my mom and for all of us at the time and truly felt like an extension of our family. That’s the kind of care anyone would be blessed to have. When our hospice didn’t show up in my mom’s final moments, Vilma was there and I can’t express how much that meant to us and how important it was to have her there to guide us. Both Kash and Vilma cared for our mother until her final days and I can’t put into words how amazing they were. BLC’s caretakers went far beyond what we expected, it is clear that they hire people who are not just qualified to be caretakers, but that are genuinely good, caring and compassionate people who are passionate about what they do. BLC itself when talking with the office and Kate always were quick to respond or answer my calls, were very responsive to any needs we had and were friendly and cooperative. No complaints at all, thank you so much to all of you at BLC for making such a difference for my Mom in her last days and for us who would’ve been helpless without you!
Worst care provider I have ever had. I require special products for my care and they can’t seem to obtain them. They make one excuse after another why they can’t deliver the products. In the mean time I am at a critical point in my care. I had two care agencies to choose from when I was released from Shadelands Post Acute in early April. I took the one Shadelands recommended and have had nothing but problems with Best Living Care since day one with them. Stan Janczura
