Bigfoot Repair is an electronics repair shop in Oakland, CA, serving customers from its location at 3722 MacArthur Blvd, Oakland, CA 94619. For people who would rather repair than replace, this local shop is known for helping with phones, tablets, and other personal electronics that still have life left in them. With a 4.3-star rating from 121 reviews, Bigfoot Repair has become a practical stop for Oakland residents looking for knowledgeable help, fair communication, and a chance to keep useful devices out of the waste stream.

Customers often mention phone repair as a key reason they visit Bigfoot Repair, especially when a device feels too old or too specific for larger repair chains to handle. One reviewer shared that the shop was willing to order a replacement screen for an older Samsung S8 when other places would not take it on. Another customer said the team helped fix a phone stuck in a reboot loop, allowing them to complete a trade-in and avoid a costly replacement. These examples reflect the shop’s value for people who need resourceful, hands-on electronics repair instead of a quick sales pitch toward buying new.

The atmosphere described by many satisfied customers is friendly, honest, and down-to-earth. Reviewers have called the staff kind, knowledgeable, super nice, helpful, and fair with pricing. The shop also appeals to customers who care about sustainability, since repairing devices can reduce e-waste and extend the useful life of phones and electronics. For students, families, professionals, and anyone in Oakland trying to save money, a reliable repair option on MacArthur Blvd can be especially helpful when a phone screen, charging issue, or device glitch disrupts the day.

Like many small repair shops, experiences can vary depending on the device, parts availability, and complexity of the issue. Some customers have reported delays or repairs that could not be completed, particularly with tablets or computers, so it is wise to ask clear questions about estimated timelines, diagnostics, part ordering, and follow-up before leaving a device. That said, many reviews point to successful repairs, fast help once parts are available, and staff who are willing to try solutions that other shops may decline.

Bigfoot Repair is open Monday through Saturday from 10:30 AM to 5:00 PM and closed on Sunday, making it a convenient weekday or Saturday option for electronics repair in Oakland, California. Whether you are trying to revive an older smartphone, avoid unnecessary replacement costs, or find a local technician willing to discuss realistic repair options, this electronics repair shop offers a neighborhood-focused alternative for keeping everyday devices operational and useful.

I love this shop! The staff is kind, knowledgeable and saves e-waste from going into the environment by repairing it and keeping it operational and useful. They saved me $$ by not having to replace my phones! I couldn't be more pleased to share how great this little place is! I have come here twice to solve 1) what would have normally been expensive to fix, and 2) without ending in loss of data! They are quick to assess the problem and tell you if and how long it would take to repair. Both my problems were solved within one day! Thank you Bigfoot Repair for your little carbon footprint!

They were the only people even willing to order the screen replacement for my old samsung S8. I guess its "too old" 🙄 for most places to be willing to work on. I really didn't want to replace the phone, so I'm so glad! Would definitely go there again. Super nice and helpful! Also super fast. Once they got the part it, it only took him 40 minutes.

Danny is honest, super friendly, and very knowledgeable. Fair prices. He fixed my phone when it was stuck in a reboot loop so I could trade it in. Basically saved me $800 for the trade in at at&t.

Left my iPad with him for one month and he wasn’t able to fix it. It also looks like he never opened it up and he cracked my screen protector too. He would say he’ll call me today then it would be the afternoon and I never got a call. Horrible service and he didn’t care much to let me know what was happening to it. Finally took it back from him and now I feel safe that it’s with me. The shop also looks rundown so didn’t feel good about that.

Took my computer to get repaired because it wasn’t charging. He had it for two weeks without even opening it. After calling him a few times to see what was going on, he just admitted defeat and told me to come pick it up because he didn’t know how to open it to even start the process of fixing it. It took him two weeks to just give up on fixing my computer. I wish he would’ve gave up after day one or two instead of taking two weeks. The customer service is not good here.
