So I went to the bichon bakery and Café for breakfast this morning and I had a ham and cheese croissant and a cinnamon croissant. Both of them were very good. The cinnamon croissant was so good that this afternoon after lunch I had to go back for a second one and then also was captured by the fruit tart. Both are really really good. The coffee is robust, but not burnt like Starbucks I would highly recommend this location.

This bakery is conveniently located in the heart of downtown San Jose. We visited on a Saturday afternoon and it had plenty of outside seating available. The bakery has a variety of freshly made cookies and pastries which one could buy by the piece or larger quantities by weight. We got an almond horseshoe pastry and a cardamom cookie. Both were delicious. They also offer freshly squeezed juices. We opted for orange and it was cold and had a perfect balance of sweet and sour.

First time visiting this bakery and café. The location is nice, and the outdoor seating area is comfortable and pleasant. The coffee was okay clearly made with a good machine, but nothing particularly special. Unfortunately, the pastry was disappointing. It tasted stale, as if it wasn’t fresh. One other downside is the extra 3% charge for using a credit card, which feels inconvenient and unexpected. Overall, it’s a nice spot for the setting, but the food quality and added fees make the experience less appealing.

Just stopped in for a snack and ended up with a most disappointing bagel and cream cheese for me and my kid. To start, I ordered two, but was only given one. When I asked for my second bagel, the kid threw one in a bag—I had to clarify that I ordered it with cream cheese. No offer to toast, no plates, just a to-go bag. And to top it off, there was almost no cream cheese. 😭
