Sign in to reviewThe matcha was good, not the best I’ve had in Orange County, but definitely decent. That said, the bagel was amazing. The chipotle dressing makes it incredibly flavorful, and it’s something I would absolutely come back for. The interior is nice and inviting, with a good atmosphere for sitting and enjoying your food. It does get pretty busy in the mornings, so you may need to sit outside, as I did. Overall, a great spot and worth a visit.
Blk Dot Coffee, Irvine – Solid spot for good coffee with quick service. The ambiance is cool and relaxed, with plenty of chairs to sit back and unwind. Free parking is a big plus. There’s also an outdoor space where kids can play, which makes it family-friendly. Bonus points for the location: Handel’s Ice Cream is right next door, and Regal Cinemas too. Mendinco farms is right beside as well.Great place to grab a coffee and hang out for a bit.
Unfortunately, another one bites the dust... Absolutely ridiculous experience at BLKdot Coffee. A cup of coffee costs over $8.30, yet the cup is mostly filled with ice and you barely get any actual coffee. Even after paying extra for an additional pour, the amount of coffee added was laughably small. What made the experience even worse was the staff’s response. When I questioned the portion size, they laughed and said it was “company policy.” So apparently charging premium prices for a cup full of ice is intentional. For $8+ per drink, customers should expect actual coffee and decent customer service — not attitude and excuses. Completely overpriced and disappointing experience. Definitely won’t be returning..
My go to Blk Dot Coffee in south OC. Normally go to their Cypress location and the parking situation and service is most convenient here if you’re in the area. Very fast service compared to the Irvine location and customer service provided by staff on the morning of Dec 24, 2025 was EXCEPTIONAL
Good coffee, but not a traditional Vietnamese coffee. They brew using phin drip method, but use Arabica beans instead of traditional robusta. The flavor profile is less bitter and drink is overall less sweet. This did not fully meet my Vietnamese coffee craving, but I can see why people might prefer really tasting the bean and roast. If you really want a traditional vietnamese coffee this may not hit, but definitely worth trying.
