Bon Me - Harvard Smith Campus Center is an Asian fusion restaurant at 1350 Massachusetts Ave, Cambridge, MA 02138, in the Harvard Smith Campus Center. It offers a convenient place to find a meal or drink in Cambridge, Massachusetts, with a menu that customer reviews describe through sandwiches, noodle dishes, tofu, pork, pho, and bubble tea. The range of reported favorites makes it worth considering when you want something beyond a single style of lunch, whether you are stopping in during a campus visit or looking for a casual meal nearby. The listing shows the restaurant open every day, Monday through Sunday, from 10:30 a.m. to 8 p.m., so its hours cover lunch and early dinner throughout the week.

Customer reviews point to several dishes that may help you decide what to try. The JP sandwich is described as tasty and hearty, with a generous amount of tofu appreciated by one reviewer. Another guest enjoyed the tofu banh mi and brown sugar bubble tea, while a visitor who ate at Bon Me repeatedly during a two-week stay highlighted japchae, the JP sandwich, and the namesake sandwich as personal favorites. Miso braised pulled pork also received a positive note for tender meat and a restrained miso flavor. Experiences are not uniformly positive, and the overall listing rating is 3.8 from 76 reviews. Some customers praise flavor, satisfying portions, and relatively fast service; others report disappointment with particular dishes, including pho, and concerns about freshness, taste, or the service they received. One review also mentioned difficulty finding a place to sit. Since the feedback varies, visitors may want to keep their expectations flexible and consider the specific dishes other customers have enjoyed. The restaurant can suit people seeking a quick, informal meal and diners interested in tofu-based sandwiches or a mix of Asian-inspired options, while those with a particular seating or service preference may wish to take recent conditions into account.

For students, campus visitors, and people working or spending time around Harvard Square, Bon Me's location and seven-day schedule make it an accessible option to consider for lunch or an early evening stop. The atmosphere and seating experience may depend on the visit, so the available reviews are best read as a range of perspectives rather than a promise of one consistent experience. If you are choosing from customer-mentioned favorites, the JP sandwich, tofu banh mi, japchae, namesake sandwich, and brown sugar bubble tea are concrete starting points. Find Bon Me - Harvard Smith Campus Center at 1350 Massachusetts Ave in Cambridge, and check its daily 10:30 a.m.–8 p.m. hours when planning your visit.

From the college tea break. Asian fusion food, and frankly, not very appealing... Miso Braised Pulled Pork: The only decent dish. The pork was tender and the miso flavor wasn't strong, allowing me to taste the meat's natural aroma. However, the oil solidified when it cooled, making it look unappetizing. Chinese Salt + Pepper Chicken: Pan-fried chicken breast, tough and dry, with absolutely no connection to Chinese cuisine. Roasted Paprika Tofu: Dry and tough, just like the chicken. Brown Rice: The rice was very hard, completely lacking in aroma, like eating plastic. Rice Noodles: Average. Miso Lime: Sour with a slight alcoholic taste. The texture was too thin, making it difficult to coat the ingredients. Vietnamese Iced Coffee: It tasted okay at first, but then developed a severe burnt bitterness! Like burnt nuts. Perhaps to balance the bitterness, they used rich condensed milk, but it ended up being both overwhelmingly sweet and bitter. Updated 2026.5.19 Workshop lunch. Namesake Sandwich: The signature sandwich, also known as Bánh Mì in Vietnam, was just okay. The shredded pork portion was generous, and the cilantro and carrots were relatively fresh, though the seasoning was on the lighter side. It was substantial, but not very flavorful. It's a decent, simple lunch option.

Lots of bad reviews but I had a good experience. The Tofu banh mi was very good and the brown sugar bubble tea was good also.

I had the JP sandwich and it was a good hearty portion size and tasty. Lots of tofu which I appreciated. Definitely recommend.

I was very disappointed with this Bon Me. My Ali’s Pho was not pleasant, and definitely feels disappointing since I paid 16$ for it. The chicken inside was so not fresh and the noodles tasted chemically. The service was also unfriendly. There was nowhere to sit.

For my 2 week stay at Boston, ever since I found this restaurant (Bon Me), everyday's meals were something I started to look forward to! The service is relatively fast, and the food's flavor is absolutely wonderful. My 3 favorites are the japchae, jp sandwich, and the namesake sandwich. The japchae has a reasonable amount of flavorful (sweet-ish, savory) chicken that will keep you full. The bamboo shoots with the japchae also has a refreshing taste. The JP sandwich has plenty of tasty tofu inside (no meat, but filling; bought it 4 times), and the namesake, which I've only tried once, became my new favorite from Bon Me as well. The namesake's tasty pulled pork with the slightly sweet/tangy sauce makes it a really good lunch. These sandwich's sizes are also relatively large for a great price ($11-$12). The sandwich bread also has a satisfying crunch to it (obviously unless the sauce inside infiltrates it). The taste may not be of 'traditional Korean/Singaporean/Vietnamese' taste, but this is an Asian fusion restaurant, meaning unique cooking from different parts of Asia are combined. This place should satisfy your Asian food cravings, as the food here isn't too "Americanized". Also, the staff was very friendly and efficient! I felt comfortable ordering from them. The other reviews say they appear rude, but I think that's due to efficiently working throughout the whole day. Thank you, SCC Bon Me staff, for making my stay here more flavorful! :)
