Patient feedback particularly discusses the Functional Restorative Program (FRP), described by reviewers as a setting where participants have time and space to learn about an injury and ways to treat and manage pain. Reviewers also note receiving information and education that helped them feel more informed. This makes BHC potentially relevant for people who want a structured, educational component alongside pain-focused care rather than a visit focused only on a single immediate concern. One reviewer specifically praised the program's supportive approach and the knowledge of its physical therapy specialists.

The experience described in positive reviews emphasizes professionalism, compassion, and feeling heard. Patients who value explanations, a supportive team environment, and guidance for understanding their condition may find those themes meaningful when evaluating Boomerang Healthcare (BHC) - San Leandro. A reviewer also reported that a physician helped them access treatments that had not previously been available to them. As with any healthcare decision, the appropriate treatment plan depends on the individual, their medical history, and a clinician's assessment.

Reviews are mixed, however, and prospective patients may wish to ask detailed questions before scheduling. Some feedback reports frustration with appointment availability, phone waits, expectations around which treatments could be provided, and a preference for medication while awaiting surgical care. Those comments offer a useful reminder to confirm referral requirements, the services available for a particular diagnosis, likely timing, and what a first appointment can address. Clear communication about treatment preferences and goals can help patients determine whether this San Leandro pain-management practice fits their needs.

With a 4-star rating based on 12 reviews, Boomerang Healthcare (BHC) - San Leandro presents a small public-review snapshot rather than a complete picture of care. It may be worth considering for San Leandro-area adults seeking pain-management support and, in particular, people interested in learning strategies for living with pain through the FRP mentioned by patients. Prospective patients can use the Merced Street location and weekday office hours as practical details when checking current availability and discussing whether its services are suitable for their situation. These details can also help when arranging transportation or support for a visit.

I had an excellent experience with the functional restorative program at Boomerang Healthcare in San Leandro. The team there is outstanding—professional, knowledgeable, and truly compassionate. From day one, I felt supported and understood. The information and education I received were incredibly helpful and gave me a much better understanding of how to manage my pain and improve my overall function. Although my pain still persists, they taught me how to pace myself to minimize its intensity. Thanks to their guidance, I've seen a real improvement in my pain levels and quality of life. I’m very grateful for the care I received and would highly recommend this program to anyone dealing with chronic pain or physical limitations.

FRP is a great place to learn how to treat and manage your pain. It’s a program where you are given the time and space to truly understand what’s going on with your injury and pain. The staff is stellar—Stephon and Gerald, the PT specialists, really know their stuff. The administrators—Lily, Mele, Maria, Dennis, and Luis—are dedicated to supporting your goals and ensuring your success. The Functional Restoration Program is comprehensive, attainable, and effective in helping you regain control of your life. I highly recommend this program to anyone seeking relief from chronic pain. Check it out—you won’t regret it!

Horrible, I’m so angry. If it was court you would be guilty before being more guilty. I just wanted some pain medicine until my appointment with my surgeon. Extreme pain ambulance to hospital. Been in bed for over 3 weeks. She kept going on about shot in my spine over and over . I said I’d rather have my surgeon decide my treatment. Why In the hell would I get a shot in the spine before probably having spinal surgery!!! I got 2 pain pills from emergency hospital she said that’s enough.

Very disappointed with the experience from the beginning to end, and still did not get the treatments that I came in for. Took 4 weeks to get an appointment with a doctor, long wait time on the phone to make an appointment, and then to find out that they can’t treat you. Don’t be deceived of them providing PT or pain management. It’s a scam and only want to make referrals to other specialists outside of their group. A frustrating experience!
