I brought my 2015 Nissan Murano to Brighton Motor Service for a second opinion after another shop quoted me nearly $4,000 for an exhaust repair. Freddy was amazing from start to finish. He was very clear in explaining what was wrong with the car, answered all of my questions, and never made me feel pressured into any repairs. The team was able to diagnose the issue, complete the repair the same day, and charge what I felt was a very fair price. The final cost was around $1,500, which was significantly less than the original quote I received elsewhere. Most importantly, the car is now running perfectly and the loud exhaust noise is completely gone. Great communication, honest service, fair pricing, and quality work. This was my mechanic from like 2021 - 2022. After coming here a few times, one day George (the son not the father) shop the owner is making conversation with me as always. He’s trying to get me to lower my guard so he can proceed to play me and in a way we’re when he does I won’t get mad. This has been happening since day one and since day one I’ve always felt something was off about the way all the workers approach me. So out of the blue he ask me “where do I work”. In my mind he just confirmed exactly what I already knew which is that he was watching and attempting to drain my pockets because why would a mechanic need to know what type of job I have and how much I get paid? . Not only that but at times he was swapping car parts out from an old car they kept on the property, putting them on my car and proceeded to charge me full price as if the part was new. He even talked me into a $1,200 car repair I didn’t need by fake “suggesting” it and botched it. I was like 20 years old when this was happening and he was doing it because 1. I was a young black man & 2. I was young and so I was an easy target. People just watch yourself coming here. FYI this cycle has been continuing for the past 6 years. Different auto repair places W/ different mechanics. I’ve had 3 cars, lost thousands of dollars so I’ve officially decided to stop driving forever.
