The items customers mention bringing include old gold jewelry, diamonds, silver, other gemstones, and costume jewelry. That range may suit people sorting through a mixed collection instead of a single piece, or family jewelry they no longer plan to keep. Reviews describe staff taking time to look at different items and, in one case, gathering multiple inputs to help determine the best price. A customer who called ahead also mentioned asking for a price per pennyweight for gold. These accounts offer useful context for visitors: you can ask questions about how an offer is considered and share what kinds of pieces you have before deciding whether to sell.
Trust and clear communication come through repeatedly in customer feedback. Visitors describe a private, calm atmosphere and a welcoming interaction that felt more like dealing with familiar people than navigating a hard sell. One reviewer appreciated receiving a text to confirm an arrival time, while another said an online inquiry received a quick response. A customer also reported being helped with parking at no cost; arrangements can vary, so it is sensible to confirm any parking details when planning your visit. If you have not sold jewelry before, these reviews suggest that a conversation can be approachable and that you can take time to understand the process before making a choice.

Spoke with Alan about coming in with some random jewelry, and from that moment, everything was so easy and comfortable. They hooked me up with a parking garage at no cost. Texting me to confirm my arrival time. Once in their building, I felt like I was dealing with old friends. I left with what I felt was more than a fair offer for my jewelry. I recommend them highly.
I had a great experience at Bromfield. It was quiet, private, professional and personable. Came in with a handful of small old gold jewelry pieces and left with more than expected. There's a necessary level of trust when doing this, and it felt trustworthy and even though I am not experienced, the pieces were all identified as what I thought they were. He also helped with some appraisals of other things I was curious about but not parting with. Will be back if I have anything else to let go of.
Sold quite a bit of things to them about 6 months ago and didn't really do any research because I had a decent amount of stuff at the time. Went there today with a small amount of gold after doing some research online and calling the day before and getting a price per pennyweight for what I had, I was offered way lower than what I should have been and what is expected for scrap gold and completely different than what I was told the day before. I stupidly accepted the offer because I needed the money and was thinking maybe I was wrong about the value of what I had. But after I left I did the math to see what I got per gram and pennyweight and checked well over a dozen online sources about what I should have received. I received half what what the lowest number I found online said I should have. After doing doing some more math on what I was given and what I sold 6 months ago, I was truly shocked and appalled. It is partially my fault for not doing research back then and getting multiple quotes but they were very kind and seemed to trustworthy. It makes me extremely mad and disgusted that they took advantage of somebody that didn't know much about what they were selling and that they would rip somebody off so badly. All I have to say is if you're going to go here, do your research beforehand and get multiple quotes before you commit to selling and if the number seems to low it probably is. Honestly glad I had this experience today though and realized I was not receiving what I should be and being taking advantage of so badly so that I don't ever make the mistake of going there again.
I had an assortment of family jewelry to dispose of, and some competitors i checked on line made it clear their interest is only in gold and diamonds. I had mostly silver , other gemstones, and costume jewelry. I saw on line a more …
I came to Bromfield Jewelers based off of the reviews and I am so glad that I did! They got back to my online inquiry instantly. When I got to the store I felt like I was right at home, not only did I get exceptional service with the jewelry I was selling (they gathered multiple inputs on the best pricing), I felt comfortable the whole time I was there. Everyone working there was welcoming and friendly, I will be going back!
