I've been eyeing this place for awhile, always watching videos on their coffees. I walk in and was greeted by the cashier, she said she would be with me in a minute. Never came back. The customer behind me was w inches away from my back, and asked if I was in line....yes ma'am I am?? 🙃 I guess the velvet rope wasn't an indicator that I was waiting. Finally the barista who was busy making drinks, had come to take my order since the other lady disappeared. I order the hallows eve drink with oatmilk and coldfoam and I asked about their pastries they had in little glass cases. There wasn't any signs on what they were or how much they were so I asked about 2 of them. I got the cinnamon roll but cant remember what flavor profile was said. I said I would take it to go and paid. I walked around looking at the decor and merch and then the barista called my name for the pastry, I smiled and was ready to take it but he then knocked over someone's bag and picked it up, then turned back to me and walked past me to the other customer who was behind me in line and hands her my pastry. I was a little confused but thought maybe she has the same name. So I walk back to the pick up counter and I see the lady bring my pastry to them saying it wasn't hers. Then another barista calls my name and I get handed my pastry. I then get my drink and I make my way out since all the tables were taken by people with laptops. I sat in my car and ate my cinnamon roll, it was tasty but needed more icing for my liking. The pumpkin flavor was good in the coffee but I feel it lacked something to make me Want more. All in all, I had an experience 😅

Burnt Umber is such a cool, gothic-themed coffee shop and easily one of the most unique coffee spots I’ve been to. The menu has really interesting drinks that you don’t see at most cafés, which makes it fun to try something new. The staff were friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. Definitely worth stopping by if you want a coffee experience that feels a little different from the usual. ☕️🖤

The only cafe I've been to where they delivered so well on both the theme and the drinks - they aren't just for TikTok! So many interesting drinks that are just as delicious as they are beautifully crafted and presented by the baristas. I have ordered 4 or 5 of their specialty lattes, been a bit skeptical of the interesting flavor/ingredient combinations, but been pleasantly surprised every single time. The service is incredible and the baristas know their stuff. Very cool gothic vibes in the cafe, plenty of seating. Plenty of parking.

very, very interesting off the beaten holiday path- for something extra unusual. Victoria with a bit of goth, really cool shop, terrific baristas, really unique selection, complete expresso LOVE and unusual art while you wait (but not too long!) Interesting stop on my way to an appointment for a nice pick me up for sure. Pices are decent, coffee offerings are decadent, staff is very knowlegable, and really friendly, Kind of hope i am able to get over here more frequently! Very highly recommended.
