The experience can be part of the appeal as well as the food. Several visitors mention sitting at the bar or counter, where they could watch the chef and kitchen team at work. Café Bonjour is an absolute gem in Boston! Their French toast is truly legendary…perfectly golden, fluffy, and packed with flavor. It’s easily one of the best French toasts I’ve ever had. I also tried the eggs Benedict, and it was superb. Definitely a must-visit for breakfast or brunch!

I’m from out of town and decided to stop here during my stay. The food and vibes are great. It was packed on a weekday morning but we only had to wait ten minutes. Highly recommend sitting at the bar so you can watch the kitchen work their magic. It completely elevated the experience.

Visited this location in May 2026. This was a short walk from our hotel. Upon researching their menu, they looked to have a nice selection of dishes and making them really well. Short line for entry, we were seated within 15 minutes at the bar area. Service was good throughout and the team checking in. Good was delicious! Was hard to pick just one dish for the meal but definitely made well and they didn’t skimp on toppings of fruit. The shakshouka was spiced well. Would definitely eat here again if in the area.

We waited around 20 minutes but it was worth it. Awesome brunch spot. We got the steak & eggs, the salmon avocado tartine, and the Nutella strawberry crepe, and every dish was a hit. The steak was cooked perfectly, the tartine was fresh and packed with flavor, and the crepe was loaded with Nutella, fresh strawberries, and whipped cream. Great portions, friendly service, and everything came out looking as good as it tasted. We’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend!
