I had originally spoken to about 20 different vendors and I was getting extremely frustrated because all I wanted was a huge cake for my wedding and the first question everyone would ask me was how many people and that I didn’t need to have a cake that big. However Holly took everything I said into consideration and remembered every single detail to the T from the first call to the delivery 10 months later! My favorite part about working with Holly is that she absolutely loves what she does and always does everything with a smile! Nothing phases her and everything is possible! I would HIGHLY recommend Cakes By Holly to anyone doing an event that requires high quality cake! She did a 9 tier cake for my wedding and it was STUNNING!
We had Holly design our wedding cake. It was a 3 tiered, vintage inspired cake with white piping and sugar pearls. It was so yummy and by the end of the evening all the cake was gone. Our guests loved it! Holly is super easy to work with, we loved our experience.
We were looking for a local vendor to make our wedding cake (which was 10/28/17) and came across Holly K on Yelp. The reviews were great and the cakes looked really good. We did look at a few well known bakeries but chose Holly K because we really liked the cake we tried at the tasting session and more importantly we reallly like Holly. She took time to get to know us and what we wanted. Holly is very creative and had the perfect innovative solution for our wedding topper which we had never seen or thought of before. Not only that but Holly hooked us up with a local wedding planner as our wedding began getting too big for us to handle. Holly can create exactly what you want and it was priced incredibly competitive. If you want the perfect cake with amazing flavour (we went for a vanilla sponge with a salted caramel filling), then look no further Holly K is the real deal and she will deliver exactly what you want on your special day.
We loved the cake Holly made us for our wedding! Months before we had our cake tasting with her and were pleased with the way the cakes she brought tasted. The only disappointment was that there wasn't a huge selection of flavors and we also didn't get to choose the flavors for our tasting (but word is there are more options aroudn this now). Over the next few months Holly worked diligently with us over the design of the cake and we were very happy with the finished result!
I wish this review was a lot different. The cake I purchased was NOT royal blue like the sketch. It actually had a few differences then the sketch we agreed on (a month prior) so it wasn't a last minute thing. The cake looked like it was made last minute though. This cake was important - for my baby shower. The theme was twinkle twinkle little star and I convinced my husband we should get a nice cake through Holly K because her work seemed good. Unfortunately that was not my experience whatsoever. It was expensive! $246! For something I literally cried about. This was the only bad part of my baby shower. :(
