Channing Dental

I’ll start by saying that I had no issues with the quality of care I received at Channing, both my hygienist and Dr. Nguyen did a great job and were warm and friendly. But unfortunately i’ve found that their billing practices are be deceptive and untrustworthy. I found them through Zocdoc, which listed them as in-network for my Aetna plan. When I went in for my appointment, the front desk staff reassured me that I would be covered through my insurance. But they gave me an incredibly high bill for fillings, higher than i’ve ever paid before on this same insurance. The front desk is also pushy, they kept trying to lock me into the payment plan on the same day. I later looked into the billing via my insurance and realized that they aren’t actually in-network. At this point I had already completed half a treatment plan and paid out-of-network rates I hadn't transparently consented to. This doesn't appear to be a one-off error. Other reviews describe the same pattern. If you're considering this practice: call your insurance provider directly and confirm network status before your first appointment. Do not rely on Zocdoc or the practice's own representation. The quality of dental work is alright but you have to do your own due diligence.

Highly recommend this place! They were able to get me in same day and my dentist did an excellent job fixing my broken veneer. She went above and beyond making sure the color she chose matched my other veneers. Definitely exceeded my expectations! 🦷🤍 …

I don't usually leave reviews for dental offices, but I felt really grateful for one of the staff members and wanted to share my experience. This was my first visit, and the woman at the front desk on the far right (I believe she was older than the other 2) was incredibly kind and helpful. I unfortunately didn't catch her name, but when I had trouble completing one of the online forms, she patiently helped me fill it out manually on her computer. She was especially warm and empathetic when I explained that I wasn't comfortable providing my SSN. She helped me work through the process without making me feel pressured or dismissed, and I really appreciated her understanding. Thank you to the front desk staff member for making my first visit such a positive experience!

A friend of mine recommended this practice to me, and I’m so glad I went! Polite staff, clear communication, and kind doctors. I have always felt like the care is comprehensive, and they don’t upsell on services or equipment. If there is treatment that I need, they offer payment plans too

First time here and it was great! I hate the dentist, but everyone here was very welcoming and I had a great time. The dental hygienist, Kianna/Keanna(?), did a really great job explaining the whole process to me and made me feel very comfortable. Dr. Wong was super chill and was very helpful during my exam. Also shoutout to the two receptionists as well, they were very helpful with payments and issues I was having with my credit card. 10/10 best dental visit I’ve had so far!
