Truly one of the best restaurants in NOVA, vegetarian or otherwise. I’ve never had something here that I did not like, even though my boyfriend and I come all the time. A vegan’s dream - most dishes can be made vegan - but I would recommend for anyone I know, regardless of dietary preferences/restrictions. The owners and staff are so friendly and helpful. It’s a great experience eating here. They’re opening another location soon - I can’t wait to go there as well. Best dishes: Grilled Chay Rolls (the best summer rolls I have ever had), Bun Bo Hue, Thai Basil Chicken, and Fried Rice
First let me state that I'm an omnivore, but when I tell you that everything on this menu looked delicious, I mean EVERYTHING! It was so hard to pick! We got the chewy dumplings, which tasted best with the sauce it came with, and the fried shrimp, which had a delicately crispy outside and tender inside. All of our entrees were HUGE, such that we couldn't finish the plate, but I was so happy to have them the next day for leftovers. We also got the pomelo tapioca pudding, and while I wasn't prepared for it to be served warm, it was just delicious. It was like having a warm, beach-flavored comfort breakfast (yep, I said beach, but trust me it works). The three of us couldn't believe how affordable this place was either, and we loved knowing that we were eating healthy. Avon on a Tuesday, this place had quite a bit of customers, which just goes to show how good Chay is. I can't wait to come back!
Amazing vegetarian Vietnamese restaurant! The food was fresh, flavorful, and tasted just like authentic homemade Vietnamese cuisine. There were plenty of delicious options to choose from, and everything was beautifully prepared. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making the dining experience even better. The restaurant was clean, relaxing, and had a cozy atmosphere. Whether you’re vegetarian or just looking to try something new, I highly recommend this place. I’ll definitely be coming back!
The service is great. The waiters and waitresses are very helpful and friendly, which is why they deserve a 25% tip. The atmosphere is okay, and the food is better than I expected. Even though I’m not a vegan, I still enjoyed it. The prices …
I'm Viet but not vegetarian, took a vegetarian friend here so they could try some Viet food. I was very pleasantly surprised by the flavor of the food (sorry, I have a lot of skepticism as a meat eater on vegetarian food being flavorful and actually good) -- I got the banh xeo and it was every bit as good as regular banh xeo, plus I loved the smaller size. Their banh xeo is really more like really big banh khot and is very crispy, the nuoc cham that comes with it is good, but I do wish they gave me more lettuce to eat it with. The fried "shrimp" was yummy as well with really good texture. I couldn't eat the sauce that came with it since it was spicy and I'm weak, but my friend said it was good. The mango fish had a MOUNTAIN of shaved green mango, honestly probably too much, but the "fish" tasted good.
