Whether you grew up eating chè at family gatherings or you are discovering these colorful, layered sweets for the very first time, Chè Góc Phố offers a friendly doorway into one of Vietnam's most cherished culinary traditions.

The menu centers on chè — a broad category of Vietnamese dessert soups and drinks that features ingredients like tapioca pearls, mung beans, red beans, taro, coconut milk, and jelly. At Chè Góc Phố, these classics are served in generous, shareable bowls that invite conversation and communal enjoyment. Customers frequently highlight the portion sizes as a pleasant surprise, noting that you get far more dessert than you might expect for the price. The sweetness level leans traditional, and many guests appreciate the option to add ice to balance the flavors to their liking. It is the kind of place where a first-time visitor quickly becomes a repeat customer.

Beyond the chè, the shop has built a reputation for its Vietnamese-style ice cream, particularly the ice cream served inside a real coconut shell. This signature presentation is as delightful to photograph as it is to eat, making it a favorite among social media enthusiasts looking for that perfect Instagram shot. The ice cream itself is rich, creamy, and full of tropical flavor — a treat that reviewers describe as some of the best Vietnamese-style ice cream they have ever tried. A nice casual sweet spot for Viet desserts. We sat for close to an hour and felt very welcome and comfortable on a sunday afternoon. Good drinks and desserts.

We're not Vietnamese so our knowledge of what to get is limited to places we frequent like places that serve Pho and Banh Mi so they don't typically have fancy desserts like what they have here. We usually have small cups with coconut milk, tapioca, and other things like taro. They didn't seem to have that here or we couldn't explain what we wanted, wish I could speak Viet, maybe I should have used my phone's translation feature. We had three desserts with flavored tofu and a pandan waffle. They were all good, we're not used to the rice cake like balls and would've really liked more coconut milk like other Viet desserts we've had but maybe that's not how these desserts are customarily served, we just don't know. If you're not especially hungry keep in mind that the bowls are fairly big so sharing might be best. We would come back, hopefully a little more educated on these kinds of desserts because the staff isn't going to be able to explain in detail if English is your first language.

Nice and clean inside seating. Chè in shareable bowls. Kinda on the sweet side, we added more ice to water down.

I didn’t expect much walking in as there are plenty of desserts around the area. But I was surprised how good it was. I got a lot more dessert than I expected. It tasted great as well. You want great desserts for the money and not in a small cup like bobba then check this place out.

Some of the best vietnamese style ice cream that I have ever had. I now suffer from guilt and need to walk an extra three miles tonight to burn off all the calories but it was worth it. I tried the ice cream in a coconut, the presentation of it makes for great instagram photos, but it tastes great too. Comes with fresh slices kiwi, mango, strawberries and some shaved coconut pieces. The ice cream at the bottom tastes the best as it has some coconut milk mixed at the bottom and can mix it with some of the coconut meat as you make your way to the bottom. It is nicer to share one with a friend.
