We ended up with four drinks. -Coconut special ($8) - truly was special with all the fruit, jelly, pudding. -Avocado ($7) - coconut cream w fresh avocado. -Mango ($7) - coconut cream w fresh mango -Pandan jelly tofu ($5) - coconut soy milk For the cup size and price of each, it was fair and decent considering each drink came with so many different types of fruit, jelly, pudding and different liquid base. The mango tastes just like a mango drink. Pandan jelly wasn’t anything special but the coconut soy milk was what drawn me to the drink. I don’t think this place makes the best avocado dessert but the amount of fresh avocado slices makes it note worthy. I feel like the base (liquid) should be more avocado-ish otherwise it’s just the fruit chunks that they are calling it avocado dessert. Compared to other dessert places, I would come back because the price is reasonable with the amount to filling and cup size. Also not too sweet.
I absolutely love their desserts because they're not overly sweet. My go-to is the Tofu Special, which features soft tofu paired with chewy ube balls. I also enjoy their Flan and Che Vi Tofu which offering a rich soybean flavor. I tried the Taro Pudding, but it didn't quite impress me. I can't recall the name of the green pudding, but it was really delicious--I highly recommend it. The service is always fast, and I've never had to wait long for my orders. The store offers plenty of seating, making it great for groups, and there's plenty parking in front.
One of a kind originality. This place is packed 24/7 for a very good reason... flavors are AMAZING. You will be hooked. You have been warned lol. Bon appetite!
I ordered the Coconut Special and Tofu Special, each priced at $8. While both desserts were generously topped and even came with a cup of ice on the side, I felt the price was a bit high for what I received. I usually love traditional Vietnamese chè, and while the varieties here felt a bit twisted or modernized, it didn’t fully satisfy my craving, but it was still an okay experience. The vibes are fun and casual, the staff are friendly, and overall it’s worth a visit if you’re open to trying something new.
We're big fans of Che Vi! Che Vi has various che desserts available from avocado to tofu to coconut averaging around $6-7ish. They're pretty quick with the turnaround and are able to make small adjustments like sweetness level. We usually like to get the coconut and tofu specials. For these, you get the flan, rice balls, green jelly, and ube balls. They also usually give you a cup of ice and able to give you more cups/ice if needed. We love that the che here isn't overly sweet and that each of the different items in the che seem to be made well with the right texture. The avcoado is pretty solid as well for us. Parking is pretty plentiful in this part of the strip mall plaza. Just getting in is a little tight behind the McDonald's and tucked away to the side. Seating is not too bad usually and not uber busy on weekdays. The only time we've seen crazy line is as I'll mention below the BOGO deal days where we've had to hover sometimes a bit to find seating inside and bigger groups tend to come in these days. (As mentioned, it's also worth paying attention to Che Vi's Instagram page as they have BOGO deals appear every now and then as well.) Definitely will be back!
