A highlight of the menu is the Create Your Own Bowl, which lets diners build a meal around their preferences. Customers have noted generous bowl portions, including orders with added protein that were filled to the lid and substantial enough to leave leftovers. Tofu and soy glazed chicken are among the ingredients mentioned in customer feedback, making the restaurant worth considering for diners who want to tailor a meal to their appetite and dietary needs. The appeal is in the balance of convenience, portion size, and the ability to make each bowl feel personal.

Its daily hours also make it a useful option for nearby workers, students, families, and anyone planning a casual meet-up around the Shore District Drive area. Guests who value generous servings and a meal that can carry over into another lunch may especially appreciate the format.

As with any restaurant, experiences can vary, particularly with online delivery and customization. Some feedback raises concerns about order accuracy, including requested extra tofu and gluten-free protein selections, so guests with allergies, gluten-free requirements, or specific ingredient requests may wish to confirm details directly when ordering. Rating: 4.3/5 [delivery] We ordered two Create Your Own Bowls ($12.10) and added extra protein to each one. The bowls were packed all the way to the lid, so the portions were definitely generous. We had leftovers and didn't feel heavy after our meal so it's a convenient healthy option. - Braised Korean BBQ Pork: Tasted like pulled pork so we weren't huge fans. - Spicy Chicken: Not as good as the fried chicken options. It's like poached chicken tossed in a spicy sauce. Wish the sauce was caramelized so it can coat the chicken better. - Bang Bang Chicken: Fried boneless chicken bites coated in their zesty Bang Bang sauce. It was okay. I wouldn't have known it was fried and couldn't really tell what the flavor was until I read the description. - K'Pop Chicken: Fried boneless chicken bites in the Gangnam sauce. This was the best of the three chicken proteins we tried thanks to their Gangnam sauce. - Base – Brown Rice: Great texture, not hard. - Base – Jasmine Rice: Really good. The white rice tasted like it was lightly seasoned or flavored. - Base – Japchae Noodles: Delicious, well cooked with great texture and flavor. - Base – Fries: Not a great base option. The fries got soggy. - Cold Toppings: All the veggies were fresh so you really cannot go wrong. I especially loved the esquites and caramelized kimchi. Recommend skipping the tortilla strips for takeout or delivery since they can get soggy. - Sauce: The carrot ginger dressing was surprisingly really good and even had little bits in it. I was not a fan of the magic sauce since it tasted like a spicy mayo aioli that was not spicy.

Used to love Chi’lantro for both the quality of food and value for your dollar, but I have repeatedly had poor experiences lately (at least with the Riverside location). Ordering delivery online and requesting extra tofu but getting basically a normal bowl, which now seem smaller than they used to be (thanks, inflation); getting incorrect sauces; picking up for delivery and having to go back in because they forgot a side… Food continues to taste good mostly, but service and quality control really need help.

This is the second time a worker at this location has not been able to understand basic English. I asked for SOY GLAZED CHICKEN which is GF, but instead received a totally different meat that is not GF. I will not be going here anymore. Chi'lantro used to be a good place to grab lunch. Sad.

Good place to sit down and have a lunch. The portion is big so be ready to take some home. Prices are good. Service was great.
