Seattle's Chinatown (official name is "Chinatown–International District, abbreviated as CID"), which not only has Chinese culture, but also integrates Japantown, Vietnam's Little Saigon and the Philippine community. It is one of the best-preserved Asian historical neighborhoods in the United States.
Lots of restaurants and stores to see and explore. I recommend going mid-day - felt safe and comfortable walking around. Come by on an empty stomach! Wish we had eaten somewhere in the area.
The area is generally quite dull and uneventful. While there may be occasional special events, most of the time, not much happens here. The main attractions are the historic gate and the park located a short distance away. It doesn’t compare to the vibrant chinatowns found in other countries.
Amazing experience. So much to see, so much to eat. Friendly people and environment. A must do if you're on vacation.
