Chino's Auto Service

Chino's Auto Service is an auto repair shop at 5710 South Blvd in Charlotte, NC, serving drivers who want straightforward help with their vehicles. Customer feedback describes Chino and his team as professional, knowledgeable, careful, and direct about the work a car needs. That practical approach can make a difference when you are trying to understand a problem, decide what to fix, and keep the repair process manageable. The shop has a 5.0 rating from 60 reviews, with customers often highlighting fair prices and dependable service.

Reviews point to a range of hands-on vehicle repairs rather than a single specialty. Customers mention help diagnosing a dashboard warning light, explanations of what needs attention, and clear communication about the planned work. One customer says Chino completed a repair in a timely fashion, while others describe him and his team as careful with their vehicles. If your car needs attention, you can ask what the team found and what they recommend doing next. The available customer feedback supports a shop known for practical explanations and repair work; it does not identify a complete service menu, so drivers with a specific issue may want to confirm that service directly.

The experience is described as personal and informal. One reviewer likens the setting to a “man's cave,” and another notes that the entrance and waiting area can feel awkward rather than polished or especially comfortable. The review also cautions that the space may not suit working or doing anything that requires your full attention while you wait. In contrast, several customers emphasize the welcoming nature of the people, Chino's straightforward manner, and the care shown to their vehicles. Spanish may be helpful for communication, according to one reviewer, so you can consider that when planning your visit.

Chino's Auto Service may suit Charlotte drivers who value direct conversations, reasonable pricing, and a mechanic they can return to over time. Some reviewers describe Chino as their family mechanic and say they have relied on him for years; one appreciates that he sometimes checks what is going on without charging for the visit. These are individual customer experiences, but they help explain why trust and personal service are recurring themes in the feedback. The shop is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.; it is closed Sunday. Located on South Boulevard, it offers a local option for drivers looking to discuss a vehicle concern with a team customers describe as capable and candid.
