I was on my way to my favorite Asian market when I saw this place so I whipped back and checked it out. There is a restaurant next to it called Pho nam that does a most excellent bowl of beef Phofor breakfast, but that's an other review. So after having a piping hot bowl of beef pho I headed across the parking lot and into the grocery store. I was the only gringo on the store, everyone else were speaking strictly Vietnamese. So just know communication could pose a challenge but don't let that stop you. They have a great selection of dried noodles of every type, as well as sauces and broths. I also got fresh produce and fresh baked Bahn Mi bread at 2 for a dollar. In conclusion I would say that it was a rewarding visit and I was able to find everything I needed and a few things new to try. I encourage everyone to break out and try this place, perhaps you will like it too!

Nice spacious Asian grocery store that has all of the typical products, produce, fresh fish (some live fish and lobsters), and more. Decent prices. They have a corner store for roasted meats and Vietnamese sandwiches (Saigon Deli). They have really good roast duck. The reason for only 3 stars is that I noticed a lot of dirty ceiling tiles with huge dark spots and the exterior could use some touch-up paint and cleaning. Other local Asian grocery stores look much more modern than this place.

I love this place, I shop her often for particular items I can't find anywhere else. Oh but the sea bass issus sssoooo fresh and such a delicious and that buttery flavor is always on point you don't even have to season it. You can just pan fry a piece and it right out the pan.... or make a recipe, also very delicious!!!

Cho Saigon New Market is my go-to spot for fresh fish and corn. I always buy my fresh fish here because they have a great variety of fish and seafood, and the quality is consistent. Their sardines, Maggi cubes, and different types of rice are well priced, often cheaper than in African stores. I also appreciate that when you buy fish here, the cleaning is done very thoroughly, even better than what I have experienced in Fiesta store. That said, there are a few areas that could be improved. The cashiers are not very engaging at checkout, and a simple smile or greeting would make the shopping experience much warmer. While some items are affordable, fruits here tend to be more expensive than nearby competitors. For example, I once bought pomegranates here and later realized the store across the road(Halal Import Food Market)sold them for a much lower price. Overall, this is a dependable store for fish, corn, sardines, Maggi, and rice, and I will continue to shop here for those items. For fruits, I usually explore other nearby options.
