We visited Chợ Tràm Chim for dinner with friends and family and were excited to enjoy fresh seafood, especially since our hosts are very knowledgeable about seafood quality. We ordered over six dishes, including two live lobsters that our hosts specifically asked to select from the live tanks to ensure freshness. However, when the lobsters were served, something seemed off—we only saw one lobster head and two claws on the plate, even though we had ordered two lobsters. When questioned, the staff claimed the other set of parts (head, claws, etc.) had been “thrown away.” This explanation felt dishonest and left us feeling cheated. Given that our hosts have expertise in seafood preparation, it was especially disappointing to be treated this way. The experience cast a shadow over the entire meal and made us question the restaurant’s integrity. We had hoped for a memorable dinner, but instead left feeling misled and dissatisfied. We do not recommend ordering live seafood here unless you can verify what you’re being served.

The restaurant very dirty , the food is not great , the manager is not hornor her word when we ordered food to go and it was wrong food when i got home . She said she will give me a credit for the restaurant mistake when i have time to come by her restaurant. But she fussed and gave me a hard time when i stopped by couple weeks later. The second time my friend picked up the food for me ( 2 hot pot soup orders) and he didn't check until we opened at home then no noodle and vegies for the soup pots. I called the restaurant about the missing food then the manager said she will credit back partial amount when next time we stopped by . Then again she fussed and tried to not honor her word. Also one old lady waitress very rude . She acted like we got food for free when we eat there. The younger waitresses and waiters have a better manner. I will never go back there again since it was so dirty and the workers are bad manner. There are many restaurants had alot good review and good service and the price is not that much different.

I order Lau Thai at Tram Chim after Lunar New Year. They gave me old seafood. I had a heavy food disorder. I called the restaurant and told the manager. She said that she would replace a new dish for me when I came back. I came back after one month and reminded her. She was not only replaced a new Lau Thai but also showed her bad attitude and was very rude. Bad food, bad customer service. Never come back
