What people notice first is the atmosphere. Reviewers describe Coffee Dose as adorable, cozy, and inviting, with a cool container-style concept and cute details that make it memorable. The setting feels especially suited to relaxed catch-ups, solo coffee runs, and low-key work sessions with a laptop. One customer highlighted the bean bag-like seating and even the pink dog water bowl, small touches that help the space feel thoughtful and distinctive. Hidden between office buildings, it can be easy to miss at first, but that tucked-away location is also part of its charm for Irvine locals looking for a coffee stop that feels like a found gem.
On the menu, customers repeatedly mention both drinks and food, which makes Coffee Dose more than just a quick caffeine stop in Irvine, California. Specific favorites from reviews include the Chi Chi Burrito, praised for feeling satisfying without being greasy, along with the Bananarama and the Thicky Thick, both described as delicious. Even one reviewer who said they do not usually like coffee still considered it a favorite place to visit in the area, suggesting there is broad appeal beyond serious coffee drinkers alone. If you want a coffee shop where you can pair your drink with a breakfast or brunch-style bite, this is one reason Coffee Dose continues to attract repeat visits.
Another theme that comes through clearly is service. Guests have described the staff as warm, friendly, and engaging, even during busy periods. That kind of service can make a real difference in a café setting, especially for first-time visitors or anyone stopping in during a hectic day. At the same time, some reviews note that wait times and cleanliness have occasionally been inconsistent, so the experience may vary depending on timing. Even with that mixed feedback, many customers still describe Coffee Dose in Irvine, CA as worth trying for its distinctive vibe, personable team, and menu items people genuinely remember.
For locals, office workers, students, and visitors exploring Orange County, Coffee Dose offers a coffee shop experience that feels stylish without being stiff and lively without being overwhelming. Sign in to reviewMy pics aren't great but this place is FREAKING ADORABLE!! Wish I had some white girl friends to bring here 💔 Kidding but for real check out the cute bean bag-like seating and pink dog water bowl! The Chi Chi Burrito is absolute perfection, it has everything I like and doesn't feel greasy or anything. The aioli is perfect tanginess and low heat. I got Bananaramas for my sister and I (both matcha and espresso) and we both love it, it's a sweet treat kind of latte. My other sister loves turmeric and was happy with her Goldie. Also love the vegan options! Lovely aesthetics and atmosphere to sit and chat with someone, friendly staff, and everything was delicious. If I worked at one of the office buildings sandwiching it, I'd be there every day. Love it!
The girlie pops serving here were a dream! They were super busy but still made time to pass compliments and make small talk while taking our order. Had the bananarama and a thicky thick - both were delish 🥲💕
A small little coffee joint tucked between some office buildings. It's hard to spot if you don't know it's there, but it's definitely worth trying! This has become a favorite place for me, and I go when I have other stuff to do in the area. It's worth noting that I kinda don't *like* coffee, so their fancy lattes are perfect for me. Not too coffee-bitter tasting, which I enjoy, though coffee fans may want more of that. The Caliray drink has this amazing orangey scent and the orange cream is soooo yummy (I have honestly licked the lid before), though if you dislike it sweet, consider your choices with care. I also grab a chichi burrito every time I stop in, they're quite filling and flavorful. The location is nice, but they're not like a full size restaurant, so don't expect that. It's literally based out of a pink shipping container. Adorable vibes and fun aesthetics. There's also a little dog bowl of water and they've given me a pup cup for my little friend before, good to keep in mind if you happen to be in the area with your dog. They have an app and mobile ordering, so I just place my order in advance and it's usually ready to go by the time I get there. My interactions with staff are pretty brief because of that, but they've been kind and helpful if I ever do talk with them. As someone who isn't much of a coffee drinker and a casual Starbucks-hater, I can't really compare the prices to anything (as of writing a plain cup of coffee is $3.50 and their lattes go up to about $8), but it's better to support a smaller business anyway.
Cool concept, but a letdown. The container vibe is innovative, but the experience didn't live up to the design. We waited over 25 minutes for mediocre food and drinks, even with plenty of staff around. The outdoor tables were messy with leftover food scraps and clearly hadn't been cleaned. Charging extra for a side of dressing on top of high prices for low-quality ingredients felt like poor value. The staff seemed disengaged, and given the lack of sanitation, my friends and I might not be back
I recently visited this coffee and brunch spot, and it exceeded all expectations. From the moment you step inside, you’re welcomed by an elegant yet cozy atmosphere. The vibe is cool and inviting, making it an ideal spot whether you’re catching up with friends, working on your laptop, or simply enjoying some good time. As for the menu, the coffee is rich and aromatic, and the brunch offerings are fresh, creative, and beautifully plated. The service is equally impressive: friendly, attentive, and never rushed. Overall, it’s a hidden gem for anyone who appreciates great food and an exceptional ambiance. I’ll definitely be coming back.
