Crawfish Chef is a well-established seafood restaurant in Kent, WA, located conveniently at 21022 108th Ave SE. Earning a strong reputation across South King County with over 1,300 community reviews and a 4.3-star rating, this local favorite specializes in flavorful, hands-on seafood boils that bring people together around paper-lined tables. Whether you are craving succulent shellfish or hearty comfort food, the kitchen serves up generous portions seasoned with aromatic Cajun and Asian-inspired spices.
The heart of the dining experience at Crawfish Chef revolves around fresh catch tossed in bold, buttery sauces. Diners frequently return for the Dungeness crab, tender shrimp, and crawfish, all customizable with favorite boil add-ins such as sweet corn on the cob, potatoes, boiled eggs, and savory sausage. The signature house sauce and rich garlic blends deliver deep, savory flavor profiles that pair exceptionally well with fresh, warm French bread served on the side for dipping. Guests also rave about non-seafood specialties on the menu, including a surprisingly popular house-made fried rice and refreshing fruit drinks like strawberry lemonade. For families visiting with younger children, it is worth keeping in mind that even the mild spice level carries a noticeable kick.
Beyond the food, the warm and attentive service is a consistent highlight for regulars and first-time guests alike. Dedicated staff members like Giang and Tyler are frequently commended by diners for their patience, genuine friendliness, and helpful menu recommendations. Whether you are looking for advice on picking the right sauce combination or need extra napkins during an energetic feast, the front-of-house team works hard to ensure every table feels comfortable and well taken care of from start to finish.
With flexible operating hours designed to accommodate both weekday dinner outings and weekend gatherings, Crawfish Chef opens at 3:00 PM Monday through Thursday and begins lunch service at 11:00 AM Friday through Sunday, staying open late until 11:00 PM on Friday and Saturday nights. It provides the ideal casual setting for celebratory dinners, casual family get-togethers, and seafood lovers looking for an authentic, mess-friendly culinary tradition right in the heart of Kent, Washington.

Giang is such a lovely waitress she is very patient and sweet 💕 definitely made our visit here feel comfortable and inviting! Food was bomb to top it off 9/10.
You have to order 2lbs of crab to buy an extra sauce on the side🤣. Who th eats 2lbs of crab as a body of one just trying to order 1 lb of crab willing to pay for extra corn, extra potatoes, extra eggs, add on sausage. And then they tell me I can’t buy an extra sauce on the side, they’re stupid. As a food joint you know people want to try your sauces right? That’s like mcdonalds giving me one ranch and one buffalo for a 20 pc nugget to TRY their sauces. Weird to be skimpy when people are willing to pay.
I had been meaning to leave a review for this place for a while, and I’m glad we came back yesterday and ended up getting the same server again. His name was Tyler — the guy with the tattoos. Last time he recommended the house sauce and we ended up getting it again because it was really good. Definitely recommend it. The clams and crawfish were huge. It's nice that they also have combos to chose from so you don’t have to make your own but our server helped us build our own, which was nice. Food was great like always. Service was great, and the strawberry lemonade is really good too. We are definitely coming back again!
Shoutout to my girl Giang for making our order! 🤍 She was so polite, friendly, and had such a positive attitude. Thank you for the excellent service! The restaurant is lucky to have someone like you. 👏✨ …
The seafood was delicious. We got Dungeness crab with shrimp in original sauce. Note, the mild was spicy for kids. The French bread was nice to dip in the garlic sauce, fresh bread. Random but the fried rice was incredible. The strawberry lemonade was tasty as well. The only negative was that the men’s bathroom was pretty run down. The toilet had no lid on it, the area was not very tidy and the paper towels were In a loose roll on top of the machine. Could use a spruce up. Overall great experience. Will be back!
