Sign in to reviewAfter talking to multiple mechanics around town, no one could figure out why my car wouldn't start. I was fed up after three months of my car not starting so I decided to tow my classic wagon to Crestview Auto Repair, which is conveniently in my neighborhood. I'm am incredible thankful to have met Jerry! He was able to locate the issue and had it fixed at a very affordable price. Thanks to him, I have my weekend driver back in action. If you're looking for a reliable mechanic, look no further. Jerry is your guy! 10/10 will forever recommend Crestview Auto Repair.
Jerry and Giselle run a great, local, small business. They're incredibly transparent and trustworthy and not trying to pull the wool over your eyes. I've taken my car here twice in the last 6 months. Both times they were incredibly kind and hospitable, and the work on my car was very thorough and comprehensive. Jerry even dropped what he was doing to bail me out of a minor emergency the other day. I'm very appreciative of the quality and care they provide.
They charged me $150 for a "diagnosis" where Jerry drove my car around for a bit and said "yup, it has a bad clutch". I had to take it to another mechanic to find out why: the transmission fluid was low! Guess who the last person to touch my transmission was? Jerry! I guess he didn't see the need to tighten the cap all the way, or use anti-sieze on a 10 year old vehicle. In all seriousness, he's a decent mechanic who has always seemed honest enough. His prices for real work ain't low, though, and in what I assume are his professional twilight years it seems like he's gotten more cavalier about things. If you need a complex issue diagnosed or a major repair done, it'd probably be better to go elsewhere. If you just want some regular maintenance done by a local business, I think Crestview Auto is a great place.
Jerry and his wife are the best! They were very accommodating in being able to see my Volvo on short notice. Jerry is a Volvo expert and was able to inspect and identify the issue. He was very honest when explaining the issue and next steps. I have definitely found my go-to mechanic! I recommend them to anyone looking for a good mechanic.
DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. I thought it would be a good idea to go to this mom and pop shop, but I had a horrible experience with customer service. I dropped my car off for a routine oil change. An hour later I get a call saying that the mechanic locked himself out of the car with the keys in the ignition. He then proceeds to call me and tell me it was my fault that I don’t have a spare key. He eventually figured out how to get into the vehicle and changed the oil. The next day, I noticed there was huge dent in the door where he lodged open my door. I have considered reporting them, but honestly do not want to waste my time any further with these people. I am very disappointed to say the least.
