Located at 1645 Flickinger Avenue in San Jose, California, D-D Delight Restaurant is an Asian fusion restaurant that brings together flavors from across Asia and beyond. As a Vietnamese-owned business, the restaurant reflects the rich culinary traditions of its owners while embracing creative combinations that appeal to a wide range of palates. With a 4.3-star rating based on over 265 reviews, D-D Delight has earned its place in San Jose's diverse dining scene for those seeking variety and convenience under one roof.
The restaurant's expansive fusion menu is one of its most notable features, offering guests a wide selection of dishes to explore. From the soft shell crab "ramen" — a creative soupless preparation that puts a unique spin on a familiar favorite — to birria tacos and seasoned fries with dipping sauces, the kitchen demonstrates a genuine willingness to blend culinary traditions in interesting ways. The menu spans multiple Asian influences, making it a spot where diners can try something different with each visit. Whether you're in the mood for noodle dishes, creative taco interpretations, or other fusion-inspired plates, there's usually something that catches the eye and invites you to experiment.
Inside, D-D Delight Restaurant offers a straightforward, comfortable dining environment with plenty of seating available. Guests frequently note that tables are readily open, even during peak lunch hours, which makes it a convenient choice for both spontaneous drop-ins and larger group outings. The service tends to be efficient, with food arriving quickly after ordering — though during busier times, particularly weekend lunches, the pace can shift as the kitchen manages a steady flow of both dine-in customers and delivery orders at the same time.
It's worth noting that customer experiences at D-D Delight can vary, which is honestly reflected across its reviews. Some diners have praised certain dishes and the breadth of the menu, while others have found specific items underwhelming or felt the pricing leaned higher relative to portion sizes. This kind of range is not uncommon for fusion restaurants, where the diversity of the menu means some dishes may resonate more than others depending on personal taste. Visiting with an open mind and asking the staff for their popular recommendations can be a helpful way to navigate the menu and find the dishes that hit the right notes for you.
For those working or living in San Jose, D-D Delight Restaurant makes for a practical option when your group can't settle on a single cuisine. It's particularly well-suited for coworker lunches, casual get-togethers, or anyone who enjoys sampling across different Asian-inspired dishes in a single sitting. The restaurant is open Tuesday through Sunday from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM, remaining closed on Mondays. If parking is a concern — as some guests have mentioned — arriving a bit before the noon rush can help you secure a spot more easily. As with any popular local dining spot, a little patience during peak hours goes a long way toward a more enjoyable experience.

Sign in to reviewLove this restaurant. When my friend asked to have lunch at this place and I looked at the dishes photo in yelp, I kind of skeptical as I just feel may be this is same as the recent trending fusion Asian western fusion. We arrived at noon and get seated right away. The restaurant interior like regular restaurant with minimal decoration. The menu is massive. Since we are 6 people we ordered couples dishes and they are all so yummy. Food were ready pretty quickly. The short rib birria is yummy and the short rib meat fell from the bone. The birria is unique with carrot, cheese, potato. This dishes is huge and it can serve up to 3 people. The lachon dry ramen is yummy. The shaking beef is so tender and the soft shell crab with lettuce wrap is also yummy. The drink is also refreshing. Definitely will visit again to try other dishes. They also do catering. Price is reasonable.
First time here but have had it bookmarked for a while. I ordered the soft shell crab “ramen” it is soupless which I didn’t realize. Too rich. Crab tasted fishy and not fresh. Noodles were whatevs. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing? Additionally when you walk in, the aroma of the restaurant smells like a dirty wet towel? Whatever towel they are using to clean and wipe down tables, please throw it away. I also asked for water 3 separate times from 3 different people, and each time, they would confirm water is coming and then nothing. I didn’t go at particular busy time? 10:30am? Maybe it was an off day? Anyway, definitely not coming back.
Food was good and service was good. Definitely noticed that drinks came out much later than the food and I wasn't the only one. But to be fair, we came at a busy time at lunch on a Sunday so they were pretty swamped with normal customers along with delivery orders.
My coworkers and I went here for lunch on Feb 5, 2026. The good: plenty of tables and service was quick. The bad: there's not much parking and the service and food could use some work. It's also very, very pricey for what you get. On the day of our visit, three of us ordered. The food was delivered to the wrong people, and because Pho usually looks the same, we weren't aware we had been delivered the wrong food until my dish arrived (it arrived after my coworkers' meals). In addition to getting our food delivered wrongly, the server pointed out that my coworker was eating the food I ordered ...but didn't offer to be replace the food I had been brought with the food I ordered. That's not good service. The food I was served (which I did not order) had beef brisket in it, but many of the cuts of meat were incredibly fatty and inedible. The food lacked salt and pepper, yet none was to be found. Additionally, this restaurant does not serve any coke or Pepsi products, which leads me to the next issue. You're stuck ordering boba, coffee, tea, or a sparkling beverage they make. I ordered a plain milk tea with boba, and to be honest...it was horrendous. The boba tea tasted the way a permanent marker smells. It was so bad that I could only suffer a few sips. I then had to have water for the rest of the meal. It was the worst boba tea I've ever had, and I've been drinking boba for over a decade. I'm sure some people may enjoy this restaurant, but for me it is a place I will never go again.
The place offers an expansive fusion menu with many options to choose from, but unfortunately does not do one thing exceptionally well. The birria tacos were underwhelming, and I found a hair in my dish. The fries had a relatively flavorless seasoning that was salvaged by the dip they provided. If you get fries, make sure to get extra dipping sauce. With everything being said, the place was more so an experience than a place I would want to frequent (or return to) for the taste or meal quality. If you have this place saved on your list, give it a shot and form your own opinions, but do not expect to be blown away.
