Really happy to have a location in Dallas as the Carrollton one is a bit far for me. They have a lot of variety of items, some I don't recall seeing at the Carrollton location. I much rather shop here than at any American "dollar" store. The employees are friendly and the store is kept neat and tidy. Definitely going to frequent this location a lot.
Talked to the cashier because an item was ringing up more than it should, 300 yen should be $1.90, but it was ringing up as $6.00. The cashier was polite and kind, she came over and showed me the conversion chart, but the reason I'm leaving a 2 star review is because that conversion chart is flat out WRONG. The items there are overpriced, and don't reflect the actual pricing of DAISO in Japan. If you're going to have a pricing chart, it should actually be reflective of what the real yen to dollar conversion rate is. You are scamming people out of their money by lying to them and overcharging them. I honestly used to love DAISO, but seeing how dishonest they are with customers leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
One of my favorite stops when we travel to the Dallas area is a Daiso store. The store is clean and well stocked. We always purchase a few snacks and household goods.
This chain of stores is always fun, Basically an Asian dollar store. Everything isn’t always the best quality but it is generally good quality. My wife and daughters enjoy it and find more stuff then I do, I just go so I can get my milk tea, they seem to be the only place for the brand I like, I’m kinda addicted!
