Ruchana is amazing!! My best friend treated the both of us to the head spa. We will be back! She is such a sweetheart, and I can tell she’s passionate. I was so relaxed during my treatment. Scalp, neck, and shoulder massage was HEAVENLY. She made sure I was comfortable the entire time. To the way she took care to maneuver my head and neck, to the pressure and water temperature, stress melted away and down the drain. She explained the entire service to me before we started, and I felt so safe and held. She pours love into all of her clients. Thank you so much again Ruchana! Andrew listened and gave me exactly the haircut that I wanted. He styled it beautifully and made me feel amazing! Highly recommend! They were really great at accommodating me on short notice.
I went in for a Korean straight perm and asked for a very minimal trim (about 1 inch, straight across) and full straight bangs, and I showed a reference photo. My stylist, Andrew Sun, did not follow my request at all. Instead of a small trim, he cut off several inches and added layers I explicitly did not want, leaving my hair uneven, thin, and shaped into a triangular/V cut. My bangs were also cut incorrectly - instead of full bangs, they were thinned out and pushed to the side. Even more concerning was how rough the service was. Throughout the appointment, my hair was pulled aggressively, brushed from top to bottom causing breakage, and my scalp was scrubbed so hard that I now have pain and scabs. At multiple points, the service was physically painful. At one point, chemical solution got into my eye and there was no apology. I also felt my concerns were dismissed - my reference photo was not properly considered, and I was not listened to when I tried to explain what I wanted. I chose this salon expecting care and professionalism, especially since I am growing my hair long. Instead, I left with significantly shorter, uneven hair and a painful scalp. I cannot recommend this salon based on my experience.
