Customer experience begins right at the front desk, where service advisor David warmly greets every motorist and takes the time to listen carefully to their mechanical concerns. Whether dealing with an unexpected engine noise, sudden handling issues, or urgent vehicle breakdowns where immediate attention is vital, the team works diligently to keep customers informed every step of the way. Drivers who find themselves in a pinch—such as parents handling unexpected problems with a student's commuter car—frequently appreciate the shop's respectful approach and prompt willingness to accommodate emergency needs.
Under the hood, seasoned mechanics like Dan bring extensive diagnostic precision and practical solutions to routine and complex automotive challenges alike. One notable strength of the team is their ability to perform cost-effective, specialized repairs rather than immediately pushing for expensive component replacements. For instance, when drivers face damaged exhaust systems or attempted catalytic converter thefts, the technicians can often repair the damaged piping and components directly, saving vehicle owners significant amounts of money while restoring full vehicle function and road safety.
Beyond standard maintenance and routine fixes, Do Rite Auto Repair has also earned a loyal following among automotive enthusiasts who require custom performance upgrades. The shop handles complex aftermarket modifications, including coilover suspension kit installations and tailored exhaust customization. From vintage classics like a 1972 Oldsmobile Cutlass convertible to contemporary performance machines like a modern Supra, technician Dan frequently invites car owners to stay involved, explaining each step and seeking their direct input throughout the fabrication and installation process.
Operating Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, the shop provides dependable service tailored to the schedules of working professionals, local families, and dedicated car hobbyists throughout Kent, WA. By combining attentive customer service at the counter with meticulous mechanical expertise in the service bay, Do Rite Auto Repair lives up to its name by ensuring every repair is done with integrity, precision, and lasting value.

Experienced exceptional service here at Do Rite Auto Repair. Upon arrival, David greeted me with top-notch service. After explaining my concerns about the vehicle, he told me everything I needed to know kindly. After the diagnosis and repair, Dan (the mechanic) promptly diagnosed the issue, provided clear explanations, and restored my car to brand-new running condition. The fair pricing and outstanding customer service make this mechanic shop a highly recommended choice for those seeking reliable and trustworthy automotive repair. Highly recommended. 5 stars all around.
Thieves failed to steal my catalytic converter, but they did damage it in the process. Do Rite Auto Repair did a fantastic job in repairing the catalytic converter, which saved me a lot of money by not having to replace it.
Wonderful customer service. I needed help with my son’s vehicle in a pinch and they didn’t hesitate and got me in right away. Quick, respectful, and responsive. Thank you Do Rite!
I went to this business after making an appointment for installation of coilover kit and exhaust customization. I have a 1972 Oldsmobile cutlass convertible. My first impression was ok I left my vehicle here for services to be performed. I didn’t receive a call for two days so I called the shop. The owner answered and said he didn’t have time to talk to me and hung up in my face. That was the first red flag. Long story short they held my car about two weeks. We discussed two options for mufflers magnaflow and flow masters. I asked the guy how much the mufflers cost he replies I have them in house and I will get back to you with the costs. We discussed a certain series of flowmaster mufflers. Delta 40 series. So when I get there to pick my car up I see on the mufflers street x. I asked are those flowmasters the technician replies you’ll have to ask the owner. I get home and search street x mufflers which are not the brand we discussed. I call the shop and the owner tells me “ I knew you would be a problem the moment you stepped in here”! 😳 Now mind you I’m an African American gentleman. I take great offense to someone telling me this when I came to their business to spend money and have a service performed. He tells me I didn’t choose a certain muffler when in reality he upsold me mufflers he had in stock instead of ordering in order to make profit. Charged me $1500 for installing rear coilover kit and customizing exhaust and mufflers. Wouldn’t stand behind his work and basically told me He wouldn’t install correct mufflers or anything. Now I’m Here at pro performance exhaust in auburn to have delta 40 mufflers installed because I’m scared to even return to do it right (wrong) automotive and they are having to go over this guys work because the work was done so bad that my exhaust is rubbing on the gas tank and coilovers which is why I came here in the first place. In addition welding was not completely done in several locations which is basic for someone who advertises custom exhaust as a service provided. So basically im having to pay again for work do it wrong did incorrectly also they are having to recreate the exhaust which is costing me double. This guy is racist and doesn’t do good business nor stand behind the quality of his work! I will be submitting a bbb complaint and I suggest you find another shop to get your work done.
I brought in my 2021 Supra to have exhaust work done. I’m a supporter of small local shops. I couldn’t be happier. The gentleman who worked on my car was Dan. He encouraged that I stay for the process so he could take my input every step of the way. He explained everything he did, reassured me the entire time, and let me be hands on with the result. He did extra work to fix a problem I had aside from the reason I came. My track car is extremely low to the ground, and he made it work very carefully ride up their ramp.
