Upon entering Dolce Espresso, visitors are greeted by a dimly lit environment with large television screens broadcasting sports events. The atmosphere is often filled with cigarette smoke, as smoking is permitted, and patrons are frequently seen engaged in gambling activities such as scratching lotto tickets. Customer reviews indicate that the coffee, while sometimes praised for its taste, is served in small portions at a higher price point, with no menu available and cash-only transactions, emphasizing the establishment's focus on gambling over traditional café services. The overall ambiance has been described as unwelcoming by some, with comments about the space feeling creepy due to the lighting and presence of regular gamblers.

This venue is best suited for adults who enjoy gambling or are looking for a casual place to watch television in a setting that tolerates smoking. It may not cater to families, non-smokers, or individuals seeking a quiet coffee shop vibe. The business has a rating of 3.5 based on 22 reviews, suggesting that while some aspects like coffee quality are appreciated, others such as environment and service need attention. Visitors should be prepared for the specific atmosphere as noted in customer experiences.

coffee was good but definitely not worth the price, it was $8 per coffee and you get less than 12 oz worth to drink from since it’s filled with ice - there’s no menu, they only accept cash and they only serve one kind of coffee. this place is primarily made for gambling, and it smells like cigarettes as soon as you walk in - don’t come here unless you want to be ripped off
Despite being called "Dolce Espresso" with a giant sign stating as much outside, this is a gambling place. Dim, with large TVs displaying sports and patrons hanging around eyeballing you from the shadows. It creates an unwelcoming and actually kind of creepy atmosphere, but maybe that's what they want? Service was non-existent. When we cautiously approached the counter and replied to their "what do you want" demand by asking if, in fact, counter to all apparent signals, we can get coffee, we were met with an incredulous stare: "We don't have *that* here". Okay. Cool. Sorry for my misunderstanding, I guess? I was left feeling almost gaslit, as if I was the one who's wrong. Maybe it's a cultural thing?
TERRIBLE SERVICE!!!!! My husband and I were going to meet up here and meanwhile I was waiting for him I went inside to ask if I could use the bathroom. One of the baristas said "no" because I'm not a client. I told her I was going to buy something once I came out of the bathroom but she refused to let me in. I felt humiliated because she was saying it in front of the other clients. Not only that, but the attire of the employees was really inappropriate. Her breasts were really showing and her shirt was really low cut. I left humiliated and my husband and I will no longer be returning. TERREBILE SERVICE. IT DID NOT FEEL LIKE A CAFE MORE LIKE A BAR WITH NOTHING BUT MEN AND SMOKE EVERYWHERE.!!!
This place is awful. Went looking for a quick coffee. Turned up to see everybody smoking and scratching lotto tickets. Couldn't stand in there for more than 3 minuets before the smoke was killing me. Definitely not a coffee shop
